with so many doctor dramas it takes a truly unique one to really capture an audience and doctor John had the potential to do that. the first half of the season flew, sure there were plenty plot holes and the villains were weak and had unfleshed out back stories but it allowed the cast and cases to shine with minimal disruption.

my frustration is the last two episodes. it was like many dramas where they just get lazy and need to wrap it up. no real reason or closure just "this is what happened and just how it is so enjoy it" and for a drama that spent so much time building it just fell flat. I'm also just annoyed by I love you so much 3 year disappearing no contact time lines 😂
