The comedy is so silly it makes for a good balance with the rest of the mysterious plots/people. So yes! I hope it stays consistent for the future of the plot too.

Haha. Yes! That was me too. I had to go back so many times. Especially since their clan names are all so similar. The royal court scene also had me so confuse. It was flying colors of words. 😂😂

You are right. And well I think the pace is still fine. in the last 2 ep. though, they gave us many new characters just making it a bit confusing as the shift was sudden. I'm still enjoying the show regardless.

My exact thoughts. A lot of new characters are being thrown at us so quickly. It's hard to digest it when we haven't even had a solid background or understanding of the new-ish introduced characters.

Everyone in the royal court already is deemed as shady but that administrator Deng has a big fat check mark for suspect on my list. Emperor subtly mentions his disappearance from the court due to his illness. I'm questioning what his role is because he seems to be highly intelligent guy depended on by the Emperor. I love that the show has us all guessing!

Its the methods they deem to be profound but never fail to execute their actual thinking. It all results back to pride as you said.

Beginning of ep. 10 😍😍 He hasn't seen her for 2 weeks and is quick to use that excuse to hold her hands. 😂😂 Can't get enough of these 2.

She's got the brains but the street smart skills are still lacking. Hopefully thats the growth we'll see from her.

I'm sure they'll be trying to use each other as pawns some way some how. Its the matter of who will be the better one to advance.

I guess that's better than a CGI wolf? Haha. Since its starting to gear more towards his side of the story, hopefully we'll learn of the blue eye origin.

It bothers me more when she's trying to find clues from others and gets super nervous quickly when she thinks they'll retaliate like with the Chef.

That's what I got from it but those blue eyes are still an uncertainty for me. I was thinking it represents royalty too because a lot of the people seems to back away quickly when they see it. I'll have to admit the shape shifting was kind of funny to see though. It was not what I was expecting seeing him jump like that. 😅

Finished ep.8 and the pacing is still good so far but the politics portion is already giving me a bummer vibe. Hopefully its not too heavily focused on that for a long time. The mystery cases are far more interesting. WenJun's character being a part of the duo is funny. He adds a good balance to the comedy.
I can't stop laughing at her howling!! Keha let her shamelessly announce sweet nothings 😂😂. Looks like we're in for a treat tomorrow with Ep.10 and HanZheng's jealousy being apparent now.
