Yeah thats what I was thinking. LMX was giving a "I'll do anything to make her happy" aura so another strong sacrifice is foreshadowed. Oh! But there's still Linlang. 😭

My favorite lifetime is their very 1st one. It sets the tone for the rest of the story and like ML, I couldn't see snow the same for a while after reading the book. But the animal life should be the 3rd or 4th one if I remember correctly.

I was very surprised by it even if we knew it was coming. Her monologue was so moving. Till her last moments she still clouded guilt over her. So sad...

I agree with the LMX thing... kind of off putting.

LOL! That included with him not having any concubines present but Anning was bullied by one when young.

And the way he approached the situation by announcing it so openly without sure evidence. Smh. It was the cheesiest thing to watch.
