The thing abt Chinese remakes is that it has the perfect recipe of making stories lighter without ruining the story. At least it was the case for me with love of a thousand years, meteor garden & now this. They can make the the male leads seems cruel yet still loveable. I just kinda missed the Epic tear jerking hospital scene of ethan hwan when they lost the bab. Of course i hate wang xiyi for stringing the two ladies and still did it after 3yrs. I was initially symphathetic towards anna but i hated her evil heart. Done watching durin my off days (weekend)

Life gives u a second chance was a nice theme, the leads were fine they were sweet but a bit lacking. The lawyer friend, mike, xiao jing & eric was a good support to the story. It just feels strange to me, that as a mother who was workin hard so she can get her son back, was not really shown in the story. Until later. Well, it was said she wants to get a job so she can support her kid, but there few to none scenes til later that she shows the usual asian mama vibe. She listens to her kids we chat voice message but didnt reply. Something like that..good drama though just a bit lacking here & there. Good thing it was only few episodes

Just finished watching the romance of tiger & rose. It has dawned on me that Ryan Ding’s Chinese name is Ding Yuxi. Since Zhou BeiJi is Zhang Yuxi in real life, that makes them YuXi couple. I know Chinese have many inflections and characters so this is jist my wishful thinking. Stll cant get over this couple

I like the story. Its a feel good romcom. Its funny & not draggy. But... i just cant help comparing the chemistry of ryan ding with his partner in intense love Zhang yu xi & zhao lusi’s partner in love better than immortality. I still have a hangover of intense love. Both dramas are good & proved that 24 ish ep drama with good storyline & on point acting makes the drama more appealing

I am lovin how real the chemistry of johnny & dilreba is. If i didn't know better ill think theyre real. It shows the real world of adult dating. yes, they dont just hug & hold hands & most especially, they dont kiss like 2 fishes who bumped into each other. The kiss scene witnessed by mama zhou was epic.. but much as i am enjoying all the sweet exchange Of love gestures between the leads, the plot has dragged on too much. We’ve already seen the character development of the leads, their rise & fall , even the sister’s, zhou mama, qinqang & her mama, the ex of zhou fang’s ex , zhou fang’s rival but this revenge whatever plot of the villain has dragged the story too much. I honestly believed that this drama series couldve been at its best between 24-ish to 30-ish ep coz the endless trouble theyre getting into is starting to get boring if not annoying

I dont hate sad story or ending cos it makes the story more realistic. What i hated the most are childish headstrong stupid female leads who ruins almost all characters they get entangled with. Yilou is one of them. As if making her shifu go against his values for her isnt enough, she gets married off to neighboring state of xirong where the two prince there fell in love with her after marrying the eldest brother. And it doesnt help that the FL looks like an elementary student. Ive seen her before in a movie about a guy with heavenly eyes. They said she’s Jackie Chan’s niece... anyway, I can count the dramas ive dropped in my one hand and sadly this is one of them after seeing the trailer for s2. Ep 14 is my max tolerance. Thank u ill pass. Theres a lot more modern & costume c dramas in my long list :)


pS.. i think the 2nd prince of xirong & the FL looks way more fitting together considering theyre both young looking

Honey, c dramas are like that. Its dubbed. Because china is so big & have different accents & slight difference in how they say words may mean something different so they dub it for what they believe the ‘standard ‘ accent. Also why cdramas take a while to air

For the longest time, engalog (english tagalog, majority english) & taglish (tagalog english, majority tagalog) has been the vernacular medium of communication. You can hardly find a person who doesnt speak either or a person who speaks straight filipin0\ tagalog esp younger generation. And pure english is used in more formal setting like work and school.. Part of it is we have this bad illness called colonial mentality ????

Actually its not they dont sub it. They are actually, bcs they are shown thru a paid worldwide subscription channel called TFC. Unfortunately, the channel owners of the dramas are very much agile and dedicated in putting down the sites of those who stream them. Its not wrong though but not even koreans, japanese or chinese broadcast stations does that. What a bummer
