Insane downgrade

The 1st season of Sweet Home was electric, it was engaging, it was fresh. The characters made you care, the storyline was thrilling, the action was great, the themes and conflicts felt touching.

The 2nd season of Sweet Home was none of those things. They lost the plot (literally) after the first couple of episodes by making it too human focused. Like literally whooooo careeeeeees about a military style bunker they are living in. The theme of "man is the monster" was done in the first season perfectly well without them constantly forcing it in your face like they do in this season. The new characters were so forgettable and we had no reason to feel attached to them the way we did the first season. Visually it was not as fun and campy as the first season, which I think was a large part of the appeal. Splitting up the storylines made them less appealing to follow and completely derailed Cha Hyunsu's, the literal actual main character, story. Song Kang is my enemy I know he is the reason they had to cut it down so much and for what? Shows like Nevertheless? Some bullshit. Nothing made you want to care about any of the characters and their struggles anymore.

Go Minsi was a saving grace but who is surprised she is a generational talent.

The final twist pissed me off lowkey bc they were really bad at hiding that it was going to happen but whatever, we needed something to save the season.
