not a korean speaker but think it's 형수 which is sister-in-law, given that she's the leader's girlfriend

went into this drama having so low expectations but it blew me away!

It's def tethers into the darker edge and the ML is morally grey. The script is well written and the characters behave logically, and all the characters are fleshed out besides one. Even the villain's ideology is something you can understand, even though they casted like the most obvious person and I don't like that actor.

my only gripe is the pacing can be slow at times which lowers the suspense a lil but for the last 4 episodes it's all worth it. just don't nitpick too much about what you see in other spy movies (esp the recent ones, remember this is made 8 years ago)

I think it's because they don't want the drama to be about revenge
I understand that but it's still something they have to touch on tho... ep13 felt choppy to me, I just hope they can wrap everything up nicely in 1 episode

Title Tale of the Nine-Tailed Spoiler
I honestly don't understand why people hate the FML so much. Like?? There's definitely worse protagonists out…
I can't speak for everyone but I think she's a victim of bad writing. Her character is inconsistent from the first half where she's this independent career women to the Mary Sue on the second half.

Her romance with the ML is the only thing connecting to his motivations and in relation the other characters motivation because they care for him so much, but it wasn't strong enough to make us root for her nor their romance, whereas all the supporting characters, who are more well-written, have to risk their lives for her. It wouldn't be too hard to understand why things would be better if she is out of the picture.

i recommend therapy to unpack why you need to see the mother's actions to be seen as good so badly🙏 unlike you I can see her intentions yet still recognise her behaviour is way out of line

you just proved that you came from a healthy family and good for you by the way. but stop with this 'I see no problem with the mother's actions' bullshit down our throats when you have no idea how it's like to have abusive parent(s)

you're here weekly for the same agenda, are you not tired lmao

the original title doesn't have the word "good" in it, so I doubt that is the intention they were trying to portray. While I personally never felt they were trying to redeem her character - as in she still has her son in her life, cuz her son chose to love her, it reflects on the son's character rather than her - but I do understand your point regarding the positive effect and how it can be seen that way for people who thinks abuse is a way of raising a child, although I'd argue if they see this show as an endorsement, they are already halfway there (thinking of abusing their child) to begin with

how can you say this show is 'normalising abuse' when the mother actually admits her terrible behaviour and the show do have people tell her off. She is lucky, that her son still loves her despite her being abusive, and her son can feel this way, family relationships are complicated, it's not that black and white.

and I hate the mother, check my comment history, but `normalising abuse` is just not true

She is bad also because she does not have healthy relationship with anyone. All her thoughts and decision making…
okay but why in a comment that's discussing about the mother, you bring up the son? this just felt bit victim blamey to me

I'd argue is not the same, they both have hurt people yes but he chose to go on this revenge trip because he thought that's what his mother wanted him to do when she put him in a lifepath of being a prosecutor. He thought it would make his mother happy, his intentions is bounded by his perception of his mother's intentions, maybe they could communicated but it's not like the mother has created a safe space of communication at home

Title The Good Bad Mother Spoiler
Ep11 is little weak compared to the rest personally, somethings don't make sense to me like
1. Samsik in general, like I get he is dumb but I really felt he got dumber so the plot can move
2. the lettuce guys suddenly saving Samsik, I didn't know they were stalking him
3. mijoo's convo with her daughter, it felt unrealistic cuz no kid is saying things like that, the kindergarten part can still be understood but about 'putting yourself first' ? that's too deep for a kid

maybe I missed some things, and I get that this is a fast-paced drama but it felt very abrupt at places. I'd add the farm being on fire but after ep2's ending I have hope they will explain it in ep12

I liked when mijoo's mum told youngsoon off, it's about time someone said something. I do think kangho has his memories back though, can't wait for tonight's episode
