I didn't expect at first that the seemingly light discussion about JY going to Tchaikovsky competition will become…
It was the episode when SA's colleagues discussed about the emergence of the pianist who won the chopin competition and the decline of JY in terms of popularity. She was thinking that JY should join the Tchaikovsky competition the following year to gain back his popularity and the male staff (the idiot) commented what if JY got 3rd or unranked? Anyway, from what it seems now he has unknowingly "owe" JK family much more than he thought and how can he still continue the sabbatical knowing that he cannot stop the father from accepting money from JK unless he comes out with the money himself? He has only USD3000 savings after his performance tours.
Well said! I do agree w/ you about the director (and even JK) know about his feeling to JK. But he couldn't be…
I guess that really makes the resentment he has against having talent etc. justifiable. On the surface right now we can only say "How bad can it be?". Imagine how SA would feel if she knew the whole story behind it...

Oh gosh, that is just so cruel. Of course it is for a good cause but the recipient knows or eventually knows someone who is most affected by accident and even fell in love with her. A scholarship coming from the death of someone and the piano/plaque I guess is in remembrance but for the recipient is more like a reminder that he should do well and not try anything funny. Who in the right mind can be nonchalant about it especially a kid?

I missed the part about the compensation money... are you able to elaborate more?
If that is the case about the JK and her jealousy, then it makes sense that she suddenly becomes more interested in JY rather than HH... since she failed in all all applications in USA and not even sure of getting a job in the local university - she is at all time low. And the director sees this and spoke to HH that he is even further behind, one of his friends have talent and the other has background while he has nothing. So I think the director is really smart. And JY is really too honest, when ppl asks if they should get married, just congratulate them...LOL
I think the good thing so far she that she became comfortable with him only... even with her close friends she is unwilling to speak her mind but with him she is rather straightforward about her feelings.
Was watching ep. 3 again, she mentioned that if she ever needs to be consoled again she think about the moment he hugged her, so I guess if he is the source of the sadness that doesn't work lol. And yes the emotions she was going through she actually thought her heart has harden - but remember the hugging scene, she says she can love again and not be scared of being hurt again... imagine the contradiction going though her mind for her to be so upfront
I just rewatched episode 2 last evening, there were flashback and thoughts that suggests their behavior especially team JY: He felt that he got his chance only because of tragedy that happened to JK (we still dunno the situation of her death). So he may feel guilt (not just indebted) as well as he mentioned later to the director that the keys of the piano felt "heavy". I am not sure why though his emergence has any effect on the musical development of JK? Then there is this narration on the evening JK kissed JY, that she felt jealous of what he has become and kissed him because to check if her place in his heart is still the same (something like that). Then also the stroll with the director when she asked he he liked anyone, he replied no. Obviously the director knows he like JK, though I am thinking it is more like a test rather than a threat. I got a feeling she felt that if he was braver, they would have been together and I guess she was fine with it. So she wasn't too surprised about the break up with HH later, and dragged JY into that same conversation.
Team SA story is much simpler. However I am glad the best friend is complaining to her about (yes I rewatched ep 3 again for the last scene) how DY is a bastard. I am more worried that she got kept in the dark and continues to harbor hopes with DY. With that out of the way, she can go fall in love with our JY.
I was just chatting with another forummer about that one... Age gap 18, maybe okay depending on appearance... but I was told he wears a singlet? I caught an episode of First Romance, nothing spectacular...

The title of the preview "I'm sorry” Park Eun-bin x Kim Min-jae, are you moving away from strange rumors?!" probably explains what happened at the end of the clip...
I love how honest she is with him. She is really cool. I can not wait for next Monday.
The part when she was with the colleagues, "I have a friend..." and they were like "Yeah right, a friend"...LOL and then the office dude interpretation of the situation, that is the only part of the show I like him. LOL
