4 minutes was great tho .. but i agree with dff .. that went so left it was just all wrong
Idk. I was writing it sort of in the middle of doing other things. So like, I wrote a little, then got back to my own things, remembered sth more about the show so I wrote that down too. Then I copied part of my convo with a friend about the series. It all sort of came together in the meantime.

But I didn't really proofreaded it bc at one point I was hurried with other things so. It's most likely very chaotic.

4 minutes was great tho .. but i agree with dff .. that went so left it was just all wrong
well, okay then. let's see. there's gonna be A LOT.

I think the most important thing to start with is the "4 minutes" state. It basically comes from the fact that after 4 minutes without oxygen, permanent brain damage begins. So in the show, the first scenes at the ep 1 are Great's heart stopping at the hospital and Tyme being shot in the rain. It's important to notice that both of these situation happen simultaneously. And both Great's and Tyme's hearts stop beating exactly at the same time. Which means they both enter the "four minutes state" at the exact same time.

Now: the entire four minutes state happens in the person's imagination. So in Great's imagination, he and Tyme get to know e/o at the hospital, after Great bumbs into him and then after he submits Dome at the hospital and Tyme stitches him up. They get to know e/o slowly, Tyme's a bit goofy and Great's a bit reserved. Every time there comes a situation which could distance Tyme and Great somehow - by misunderstandings, disappointment or argument, Great's "superpower" turns on and he can change his actions, which we see up until the end of ep 5 where he's shot with his mom. He "predicts" the future, he changes it, behaving bravely, taking responsiblity for his actions, actually helping people. As I've mentioned - IT ALL HAPPENS IN HIS HEAD while he's uncouncious at the hospital with doctors trying to bring him back to life.

We see Tyme's four minutes in the ep 8 (with the beginning at the end of ep 7 when he's shot). In his four minutes - which also is his imagination, he never reads his mom's diary which means he doesn't let his life be dictated by an urge to revenge his parents death. He becomes a doctor and feels /actually/ fulfilled with it. He meeets Great at the hospital and they get to have all the cute dates, Great gets to meet Tyme's grandma. All sunshine and rainbow. Tyme's four minutes ends, because in reality his shot body gets to be found on time by his friend Den, who calls for him, who performs first aid in the rain. Tyme becomes aware of the fact that everything he saw all this time with him and Great falling in love was his imagination. And he's also aware that he has to bring Great back with him. So he starts to call for him (it happens around 16 minutes of ep 8).

Great's four minutes ends with him being shot with his mom. I personally think he was a bit closer to death than Tyme because you can actually see that he was just on a brink of completely drifting off, but somehow Tyme's voice on the subconscious level reaches him (or - perhaps it never happens and the doctors are just able to save him on time, but as a romantic soul I'm just gonna go ahead and believe that Tyme's voice have helped bring Great back to reality). There's bunch of theories that people who are in coma actually hear voices of people who visit them and who talk to them so it's not entirely impossible for Great's mind to aknowledge that Tyme did visit him at the hospital (before getting shot). Lukwa's (Den's patient? or like a subject he interviews) line about how her boyfriend's voice brought her back also suggests that it may have been the case for Great, too, since someone who wanted to bring him back (guilty Tyme) actually /did/ bring him back by being present at one point.

Now we have to focus on what ACTUALLY happened in reality and not in Great or Tyme's imagination during their four minutes when their hearts stopped beating and they were fighting for life. What /ACTUALLY/ happened is an entire episode 6 and 7 so, chronologically: Tyme and Great first meet eo when they're both kids because their parents become involved in buisness. Tyme learns about Great's fear of dogs. Then, going with timeline, Tyme's parents are betrayed and killed by Warit (or at least on his order) - and not like Tyme thought, by Great's father. Tyme reads his mother's diary. Not knowing it's Warit who killed his parents, he becomes obsessed with the idea of revenge on Great's dad whom he blames for his parents death. He still meets Nan and they still work together to take down Great's dad's gambling buisness. But while in Great's imaginary it's Nan who exposes Great's dad's deeds, in reality Nan never lives long enough, being killed by Samarn (the shady manager of the gambling buisness) while being "interrogated". Tyme one day meets Great at the hospital. Or more like sees him. Great's at the hospital for his pills, Tyme overhears his name, connects it to the person he wants to revenge on. Hence gets to have sex with Great, records them, posts the vid online hoping in will help in his 'revenge plan'. In reality, he's bold, cold and determined solemly to make his revenge sucesfull - which is a stark contrast to his version from Great's imagination. In reality also Great isn't the person he imagines himself to be. He's not brave, he kills the woman with his car, he's a bystander of a murder of Dome (+ helps Title hide the body), his cowardice causes Nan to lose her life and finally is also a rift between Tyme and Great. They argue. They NEVER fall in love. Tyme's too obsessed with revenge, Great's too broken to learn how to love. For his entire life he was being ignored by parents too focused on making money, which caused him to grow spoiled and an attention seeker. (Which explains why he's not bothered by Tyme leaking their sex tape. He actually loved the attention. He loves the fact that his dad had to acnowledge his existence - even while being angry) Great gets shot by Tonkla because Tonkla learns Great either killed or is co-responsible for Dome's murder. Tyme feels guilty as his last words to Great was basically wishing him to go to hell.

Here comes the tricky part: Tonkla's part of the story. So. As much I wish I could say that ep 1-5 is basically only Great's four minutes so his imagination, I can't. Because while HIS scenes /are/ imagination, scenes focused on TONKLA happen in reality so at the same time as Great and Tyme's story begins (that I've mentioned in previous paragraph). So, again going with time-line. Tonkla is raised in abusive family. Tonkla, who feels helpless as the social services can't help him and Dome and angry at his dad killing his cat, kills his dad instead. He meets Korn at the university. They fall in love. As Korn's a sucessor of his dad's buisness he's forced to play-pretend relationship with his dad's buisness partner Warit's daughter Fasai, while hiding his relationship with Tonkla, which causes a rift between Tonkla and Korn. As Korn's focused on his newly aquired postion at his dad's company, Dome gets murdered by Title (and Great as an accomplice/bystander), after revealing to everyone that Title basically kidnapped and abused his girlfriend. Tonkla's hurt and frustrated. He doesn't trust police to actually catch and punish whoever did it to his brother (as in the childhood police turned useless and didn't help him and his brother when their dad was abusing them) and Korn is nowhere to be found (too focused on the company stuff), so he uses the policeman - Win to get what he wants (so info about what happened with Dome. We know how it goes from there: he learns it's Title and Great who are responsible from the clip from the car found by the boy and the man while scanning the river. He pays the girl at the night club to drug Title and then kills Title the same way Title killed Dome (with rock). Later it's Win who takes investigation over Title's murder (we see it in the ep. 1 when he arrives at the scene of crime). Tonkla learns Great in Korn's brother. Shoots him in the elevator (which is the reason why Great in his imagination during four minutes gets a panic attack in the elevator in the ep 1 and hears the sound of gunshot. It's his body and mind remembering the occurence). In the end, Win realizes Tonkla's responsible for all of it. Everything goes downhill from then. Korn reunites with Tonkla, the whole drama happens. They both die in the end. THEN their four minute state happens. With the scene after Korn kills himself - when he and Tonkla lie in bed and Korn makes a decision to not go with his father's wishes - so inherit the company, get engaged with Fasai, but choosing his love for Tonkla instead. People theorize that it's not Korn's four minutes since he shot himself in the head so the death was immediate, but actually Tonkla's which is even more heartbreaking tbh. Unlike Tyme and Great who get to be brought back to life from their four minutes, Tonkla and Korn die for real, after their four minutes happen.

Basically it all comes down to... Scenes of Tonkla and Win from episodes 1-5 are happening in reality. Scenes of Great and Tyme from episodes 1-5 are just Great's imagination. With the chronology being all over the place I get that it can be confusing but there are actually hints of what's real and what's not even in the colors of the scenes and the way they were filmed. The state of four minutes is there for characters to have their second chance - so Great chooses to be brave, Tyme chooses to not act on revenge, Korn/Tonkla choosing e/o and their love. It's also important to notce that in Great's four minutes he and Tyme fall in love. In Tyme's four minutes he and Great fall in love. In reality, before them being on the brink of deaths - they do not fall in love. They actually fall in love with eo BECAUSE of the four minutes experience and only AFTER experiencing the four minutes. Because they learn from it the importantce of their decision, the importance of caring instead of acting on impulse. Hence they try to be better people. Great takes responsibility for Dome's death, doesn't allow his parents to come back to Thailand when they would most likely start the gambling buisness again - and Tyme who has a chance to kill his parents' killer - decides not to do it so his life is not dictated by revenge.

I'm trying to think what else could be confusing and idk. There probably is someting so lemme know if I can be of an assistance. I seriously adore yapping about 4 minutes. I haven't stopped thinking abt this show ever since it aired. I think it was brilliant. But I get that not everyone likes the same things so I don't expect everyone to love it, too.

also sorry if there are any mistakes, I was writing it quickly and English is also not my first language.

and Kenta's probably still mourning Tony. In perfect world where companies don't stick to fix pairings, this could be good opportunity for the writers to give these two characters a chance to move on. I don't believe they'll do... It would be fun to see... and it would feel fresh with all the fixed pairings around that sometimes just lower excitement and the element of surprise, but still. It would be nice if Pete and Kenta could help e/o. If not romantically than platonically. They were growing up together after all. I wish they had a chance to reconcile and have a heart-to-heart talk. Maybe they're the ones they both need. Again - not necessarily in romantic sense.

I think it will depend on who let him free from prison. I saw somewhere theory that it may not have been Tony so I think Kenta for most part may be torn between what to do. For someone like him who was loyal to one person for so long, I do expect to feel a bit lost.

Nah, for me it was JJ definitely. Haven't seen Kenta smiling beside that one flashback so JJ's happy face was very distinctive. I do hope happiness comes to Kenta in season 2 tho... Whether the happiness will be in a form of Kim or Pete or just Kenta learning to love himself - I just want to see him experiencing joy for a change.

I miss Chimon so much. To think this series will be the only one with him... it makes me want it to come fast. But at the same time I know he needs time and I shouldn't selfishly expect him to rush in to work. I hope he can recover and heal well. I hope he can feel happy and confident again. I hope I can see him smiling and ejoying acting again. Idk. I just really miss him.

I, personally, would love to see more Kenta. Garfield did SO WELL in the first season, so I can only hope that in the second one, he'll get some decent storyline, worth of his skills.

I'm thinking Mek and Pretty reuniting on Kram-Profs wedding (if it happens, that is). Probably same with Punk and Tawan. The last episode will be probably rushed if they want happy ending for each couple (tho I hope its not the case cuz I feel like some of them are better away from e/o)

am I the only one wondering wondering whether will it be earthmix or mixearth in this series 😅😅
This I don't know but what I do know is that I love that Earth will be the clumsy one. I haven't seen the Japanese series but I just adore Earth's character from the trailer. He's a pathetic idiot *endearingly*. I love him already.

I'm so freaking excited for this! You can say whatever you want about uni-focused-series but I love this thing, it's chill, relaxing and cute so everything I need after another stupid day in reality. I'm really excited for all the stories but of course I'm a bit biased and am gonna say I'm looking forward to see Chimon the most. I'll never get tired of grumpy bf and sweetheart bf. It's cliche, but in the best way. And both Chimon and Perth are such great, expressive actors, so I know they'll deliver. Am looking forward to it!

Boun, Prem AND Santa in one series again? Like, there's no way in hell I'm not absolutely falling for it. I missed BP so much, their chemistry is actually one of my top top personal favorites. Can't wait to see this one! If I had one wish towards it... I hope that Santa's character could be sneaky, lil smartass in a lovable way. I think it would be cute!
