I didn't watch any episodes but I did watch clips of Bride of the Water God and it was exactly what you said.
Yeah, that's true. We'll see what happens but I have hopes for this drama after the first teasers came out!! All of the main actors looked awesome!

I'm not scared of the writers because I like their dramas but I'm scared of the concept, which is modernizing a fantasy/mythical story. The plot reminds me of Bride of the Water God, which I didn't watch but I heard it wasn't that great. So that's what I'm wary of.

Well Lee Seung Gi never disappoints, he did great in Gu Family Book, King2Hearts, and You're All Surrounded.
He does not disappoint! I loved him in King2Hearts. His acting was really good in that drama

I've been seeing pictures of filming because they've been filming in the streets of Korea which is getting me more excited for the drama. I'm excited to see Seung Gi in this role but I'm also wary because this could be great or it could be terrible.
