I really liked this recent episode! Much needed backstory and First's acting was incredible as always.

I mean did you miss the part where Way clearly said he thinks he's had feelings for Kim since they met?
The second time he mentioned the BBQ was when he said he started to doubt if his feelings only started after the BBQ incident. He was also very happy when Kim sat next to him in class if we're going by what facial expressions tell us.

Okay, I'm assuming it's not really BL. Way and Kim's relationship seems purely platonic to me. Way started to…

To my surprise, I actually quite like this show and I am a little surprised at some of the negative comments here (though I respect that different people have different taste). I was intrigued by the potential for a BL plot ofc, but I also would watch First and Ohm in just about anything and coming off of Blacklist, I was interested in Prigkhing, Ploy, and View. Maybe this is why I'm enjoying it more than others?

Anyway, some of the things I like: that it doesn't take itself seriously (the recurring dramatic music for the fanservice moments, the inherent absurdity of Pan/Soda's fanfic), the time that it's devoted to developing Pan and Soda's friendship, the chemistry between the main cast, and the whole look of it (particularly in some of the character design - I LOVE everything Soda wears). I was wary of how they would treat the central conceit of writing fic about your own classmates but even then, I like how Pan came to realize that she doesn't actually know Kim that well at all, and the theme that she writes about Kim and Way because she doesn't value herself enough. I would like some more narrative consequences for Pan and Soda (because yes it's still weird to write fic about your classmates) though.

I'm reallllyyy hoping I don't get proven wrong, but I think it's highly suggested that Pan and Soda are totally off the mark about Way and Pan + that Way has liked Kim for longer than Pan's been in his body. Which would also fit the theme of not knowing the people they're writing about as well as they think. I don't personally feel too baited by the storyline since it seemed fairly clear to me from the promotions that Pan (as Kim or herself) was the main character.

The only thing I didn't really like was the teacher storyline. I think they could've made Kim be a secret bad boy without that bit. Yuck.
