I love Nodame Cantabile and I have read the manga and watched all of the Japanese productions. I was wary, but…
I find the portrayal of Masami lacking too, it's too tame, need to be more drama queen. On the other hand, Joo Won, Shim Eun Kyung, Go Gyeong Pyo are so fun to watch.
Discovered the wonderful Park Hyung Sik here, he needs to be main lead in a romcom soon. Enjoyed all the storylines, but bored with the middle bro story thread.
Oh this drama is currently satisfying my need for a feel good romance drama. I can watch the two leads and the kids all day long, they are a pleasure to watch. Soo young is a good actor, and Kam Woo Sung just acts effortlessly, so charismatic that makes you forget the age gap. Hope there's no tragic ending for this.
I'm liking this korean version so far, Joo Won never disappoints in his portrayals, and Shim Eun Kyung is bringing her brand of quirkiness to the character.
This is such a unique drama, that will broaden your understanding about mental illness. There are some parts I didn't enjoy like some of the couple's bickering and the medical terms but the amazing cast chemistry will keep you watching. It has a 'Friends' like atmosphere for the 4 main cast, and you will keep with it to the end because of Jo In Sung's Jang Jae Yeol. Great acting all throughout, esp Gong Hyo Jin and Jo In Sung in the latter episodes. I love that even if the subject matter is serious, they intersperse it with comedy and there's no makjang here. The romance part is a more realistic take on it. I won't forget this drama anytime soon.
Jeon ji hyeon is a comedic gem here. Appreciated the more nuanced performance of kim soo hyun as an alien, but looking forward to him being back in full force in his next project. The villain part of the story is certainly one of the weak points of the drama.
I'm not really a fan of noona romance but the unique premise shown from the first episode sold me on this romance and their entwined fate right away. Lee Bo Young's Hye Sung has to be my favorite kdrama heroine so far. I was also wondering what was the hype all about for Lee Jong Suk, but I can see it now, he showed a wide range of acting here, and is just adorable as Soo Ha. Supporting cast is also amazing both in acting and their characterization, you will feel as you've grown with all the characters. I want my own Atty Cha and Soo Ha! This drama certainly has a message to convey to its viewers and I hear its voice loud and clear. The drama also balances the cute and suspense really well. As I also love Dream High dearly which came from the same writer and production, I'm avidly looking forward to their next drama.
Han Groo is so so good here, she can do everything! I'm definitely a fan of hers after this.
I agree! I only watched his brooding character in Arang so I know he is good, but didn't know he can pull off comedy so well. It's such a pleasant surprise.
Yay--finally a drama where i can ogle, uhm i mean appreciate Eric! The trio cast of Yu Mi, Eric, and Sung Joon are too charming and such a pleasure to watch. The chemistry is sooo good.
Hmm in the 2nd ep, Yu Mi's character is starting to get irritating as I cannot follow the logic of some of her actions. Well I guess if I need to choose between Eric and Sung Joon I will be confused too :). The semi documentary format is interesting though, and such a good cast so I'll keep watching for now. Drama, pls don't fail me.
This show is so much fun! At first I was hesitant to watch this because even though I love Jang Hyuk, his character here is over the top, and Jang Nara's character is too nice for my taste. Boy was I wrong, this is kdrama romcom at its finest, so far. Made me love Jang Hyuk more, he is really giving it all for the comedy, and Jang Nara's portrayal makes you care for her. Now I regret starting to watch this while it's still airing.
After watching this movie, i'm now looking forward to seeing shim eun kyung as nodame. She and lee jim wook should make a drama someday, they look so good together. I have to glom lee jin wook dramas now :). That ending is so good though.
Han Groo is such a pleasure to watch here, and it's nice to see Yun Woo Jin doing romcom. Great supporting cast, the ex bf is funny...off to a good start!
