Siho is literally the most realistic 'human' character in the drama. You see her strengths and weaknesses. I'm starting to think the hate she's getting is more of a personal grudge against the actress. Kinda obvious when these same looking comments always sound super subjective. And if we talk about it acting wise then no, I dont like Siho because she cries cute. I like Siho because she can act in a way that you can see right through her emotions even when she's not crying in the show. Its called good acting lol. I will surely look forward to Gong Seungyeon's future projects. Such a promising actress in the works.
Well, that ending was underwhelming. Swept the 600 year narrative under the rug. All that killing and stabbing from Episode 1 (their most promising episode) really went for nothing?
I was rewatching the episodes and realised Gong Seungyeon used two different tones for DanSol and SiHo's "Turn around and run". Dansol's voice was deep, unwavered, firm and strong. Siho's voice was high-pitched, almost trembling. She "wanted" to sound strong but still coming off scared. Like its her first time making a big decision. It hit home when later in the last episode she broke down and said she always relied on people. But you realise in the end she's still the same head strong person like Dansol, her bravery wavered but never lost touch. Its so fascinating to witness the intricacy she put into fleshing out her characters individually but still making sure to find a common ground.
The scene that irritated me the most was her lack of urgency to save her sister, she seriously seemed more upset…
oh now that you mentioned it, i realised thats what's off about her in that episode too. I wouldve lost my shit at the thought of my still missing sister probably having gone through the same ordeal or worse, same death as the dead body.... And she quite literally.... just stood there 😅
I don't think it was a plot device since it was stated in the episode that they need Detective Kwon to take them…
I'm pretty sure that plan (detective taking them to the hospital) was off the table after Hwal told everybody to go away. And...... Arent Siho and Doyoon just as much of a 'wanted person' as SW because they're basically used as baits?
It's obvious that while she's still trying her best to protect her sister, SW's priority is Hwal right now. There's nothing wrong about that, her life took a complete turn after meeting the man. I just wished she made better choices because it seems has an intense case of tunnel vision on Hwal and all her decisions are revolving around him right now.
Sangwoon leaving Siho and Doyoon in the car to run to Hwal was kinda triggering for some reason. I hope its not some convenient plot device to put the two in danger and into Ok Eul Tae's hands again. I kinda hoped Sangwoon left them in a hospital first or something. Doyoon had open stitches and Siho was thrown and knocked out while pregnant. Either it should've been obvious it was a medical emergency or I've just grown paranoid towards the end 😅ðŸ˜
The writers dragged the 3 Bulgasals' "ill-fated" bond to the very last minute without giving us something to root for or atleast hold onto. People now wanting Siho and Doyoon to live more than literally anyone of them is a big testament to that. Goes to show how at some point all these running in circles gets too tiring to watch.

HAHAHA either way I think the show failed to tell the story smoothly overall, which is sad because they had a good premise. I wished the reveals were not all cramped up in the last 3 episodes because we have SOOOO many questions still. And even if they do answer all if it, its still going to feel rushed and shoved-down-the-throat.

True, it would be a total waste of her talent. I wasn't very familiar with her before this show but i still cannot fathom why she manages to blow me away even with that minimal screentime. Her delivery of even the simplest lines and expressions is so genuine. She's breathing the character. The rest of the cast are already great so for her to stand out acting wise sure is special. Btw, are her eyes really THAT hazel brown or just contacts because i feel like im in a trance everytime she has a close up ðŸ˜
The little girl from 1000 years ago seems to be around the age of Siho's child actress. So I don't think they were Siho/Doyoon. Also because I'm pretty sure Siho and Doyoon were the 2 villagers who are yet to be revealed, so timeline wise they werent kids... though its also possible they werent the former so we'll see. BUT I'm leaning into thinking those kids were Siho's from 1000 years ago and for some reason were (unwarrantedly??) fostered by Sang-un because remember when Eul Tae asked Siho why she could still protect Sang-un after all that she has done to her in the past? Also kinda checks out Siho's entire "unfortunate mother" narrative. But then again, Eul Tae hasnt been the most truthful either so I guess we'll wait for tomorrow's episode??? ðŸ˜
