Overall, a good show. It took me a long time to watch though. I was very concerned when the show started out completely rushed and I hoped it would not be something that would repeat itself again. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a recurring thing throughout the show. The characters ultimately never felt fully developed and i often found myself lamenting the wasted potential of this show. But it had some good pairings. The main and secondary couples were very good. I liked that they did not just rush into Sean and White's relationship though IMO they did suffer from the fact that Sean and Black's dynamic wasn't shown to us prior to everything starting. Lol probably one of the only things this show slowed down for. Yok and Dan were also great. They probably had one of the most memorable get together of any BL couple I've seen. There was a lot of material there for it's on show. I would definitely check out any show with them as the leads. With that said, the show ended how it started, rushing, this time out the door.
Maybe you just didn't get it? and that's okay. They didn't just make the movie like this without a purpose, you're…
You are not being rude at all. Right after i finished the movie it occurred to me that i obviously missed skmei that would have made all those pieces fall into place and even googled the film to see reviews that might interpret the movie in a way that made me understand things better but none of th reviews i read were hopeful to me. That's why I came to the comments section here but everyone its just talking about it he ending and not the greater themes. So at this moment it's save to say that i would need to rewatch the movie and try to analyze it bei but the first viewing honestly left me with such a bad taste that it's going to take a lot for me to sit through it again.
This is such a strange movie. Like it was very hard to get through and not because it's a bad movie, it's just boring af. And the ending... I interpreted it as them ending ending their friendship but then I remember we saw the "aftermath" of the ending at the start of the movie so am going to assume they remained friends. Like someone should tell these teens that polyamory is a thing. Though seeing the way they handle things, it would have gone south before the end of the month. But the ending aside, my biggest issue with the movie was the way things just happened. Like i had to rewind many times because I thought i missed some scenes and this was for practically every scene for like 2/3 of the movie. Like i don't need to be fed information in order to understand what's happening in a story but this movie just decided that proving insight into the characters was too much bother. Like try to think of a single memorably scene in this movie because I can't. What a waste of time.
While i took some serious issues with the pacing and lack of foundation of the first episode, i have to sing the production praises for having changed the vast majority of the events from the "book" this far. I had the misfortune of skimming through the Wattpad translation and i can say that that was the worst combination of words that we technically have to categorize as sentences and the worst of combination of sentences to be categorize as chapters and the worst combination of chapters to be categorize as a book. Like now i have questions. Is this what networks have to deal with when they adapt a BL story to screen? If it is, i truly apologize for any criticism i have ever levied on all the BLs shows I've watched. I clearly spoke from a place of ignorance.
does anyone knows where i can read the translation of the novel, since it doesn't have an official one? i'm desperate…
Let me strongly encourage you to avoid the translation and just watch the show. I unfortunately found a translation on Wattpad and I am seriously disturbed.
Am not going to say i was blown away with the pilot because I wasn't. I did appreciate that it was something different and I can say I'll be tunning in for the second episode because I am genuinely intrigued to see where it goes. However, the pilot was extremely rushed and you need to suspend your disbelief completely to get behind the sequence of events. My hope for the remaining episodes is for things to slow down and for the characters to be explored because as it stands, i care very little for any of them. I don't expect the series to give it all away on the first episode but if the writing and pacing for the remainder of the show is in anyway similar to the pilot, there is not much story to tell, imo.
I have to say one good thing about this season; it was so forgettable and all around bad that i can just go on and pretend it never happened. Which is good because it means I can watch season one again without any issues. I have absolutely zero good things to say about this. Power to the people that loved this season, you are without a doubt, in a better place.
I'll say this, if it weren't bc I love PSJ, i would have peace out around episode nine when I noticed a drop in the quality of the script. Like the show had been good until then but I wished I had stopped there. Every impression I got from the last half of the season has been said but I will point out how creepy i found the trope of man waiting for the underage love interest to grow up to start dating them. Like it's not the worst I've seen, but not being the worst is not a free pass. Am not saying this bc I preferred the second leading lady even though she would have been the much better choice. They might not have had much chemistry (who had chemistry in this, anyway?) but at least they made sense for the majority of the show. Yi Seo ending with Sae Ro Yi sends a horrible message and am not even factoring the age difference or the fact that Sae Ro Yi just "came around" to her out of nowhere. No, am talking about the fact the wear him out by molding yourself into his imagine trope and the stick to his side until he comes around trope. While Yi Seo wasn't my favorite character, i like the fact that she knew exactly who she was and was making changes to her attitude as she began to consider others even when it didn't benefit her. By making all those changes about Sae Ro Yi, all of that goes out of the window. At the end her character looked at bad as that wig. While I understand that love is a good motivation for change, someone changing just to please someone else doesn't sit well with me at all. While Soo Ah was underdeveloped and lacked motivation throughout much of the series, i liked the fact that she was not about to change herself for anyone and this was consistent until the very end. She wanted Sae Ro Yi but she didn't need him and that to me is the hallmark of a great thing to have in any relationship. People praise Yi Seo for being a different kind of female lead but I have not seen many female leads have such a solid understanding of who they were and what they wanted to accomplish. Soo Ah put herself first and I command her for it.
Not attacking you but why do people have to read a book to understand what's going on? That kinda defeats the…
I understood what you were saying but I was specially responding to " if you read the book you would understand more of why the episodes are the way that they are". Am assuming you are saying that you a better understanding of the season because you read the book and my response is me expressing that people shouldn't have to go outside of what is being portrayed on screen to understand what's happening better. The series should be able to get that across on its own and not try to be like Star Wars.
Umm I’m sure half of you that is watching and complaining about every single episode have not read the book,…
Not attacking you but why do people have to read a book to understand what's going on? That kinda defeats the purpose of a live adaptation unless the point of the show is to sell the books.
The show has finally picked up. I really like that the show is focusing on Type's work-life. I feel like a lot of time has been wasted on characters that are paper thin just to fill up time. I am not Thai so i have no knowledge about how human resources works there but I feel like Type should have brought up a complain yo HR some time back and if he hadn't gone and punch his supervisor, he would have had a strong case. Either way, am into this exploration of work life and how it affects people's relationships. I take more of that over nothing characters anytime.
Speaking of nothing characters, they need to build up the side couples. Like what's up with Fiat and Leo? There is obviously a backstory with them but am guessing am supposed to build that up in my head since the show is not getting there anyway soon. Doc and Champ have no chemistry. It's just awkward to watch them.
I definitely enjoyed this one more than the first one. Yeah, i still wasn't a fan of the hazing but thankfully it wasn't all over the season (like the shameless advertising and blatant nepotism) and I just fast forwarded. Kongpop and Arthit are still the best BL couple in this one. I wish they had more chemistry and more romantic scenes but they were still a very strong, non-toxic couple, even if Arthit could have been a better boyfriend for like 99% of the season and Kong really showing his age when it came to decision making. I loved that the secondary characters were stronger in this season. Earth was hands down, my favorite character of the season. I loved how sure and hardworking she was. Her scenes with Arthit pretty much showed the natural progression of workplace relationships. I absolutely hated Tew this season. This dude just could not take no for an answer no matter how many times he was told no. His scenes with Day grated my nerves and after that scene where Tew just pushed Day into a cab, i decided to skip their scenes. Day character was ultimately a disappointment. It was a water down and less developed rehash of Kong's character from the first season. Yong and Nai were definitely the highlight of the secondary couples. Overall, it was a really strong season and unlike the first one, where the only thing I liked was the relationship between the main characters, this season felt whole. Even though I definitely rolled my eyes by the end of the season when I had heard one too any speeches about sharing and harmony.
Like everyone else, it's a breath of fresh air to see a BL about adults. I've seen the leads in previous shows so i know they have great chemistry and they didn't disappoint in that front. The story itself it's okay but so far, i don't see myself rewatching in the future. I tend to dislike mysteries because of the obvious attempts to make everyone look suspicious and this is no different.
Definitely a view it once show. Pleasant to watch but if someone asked me what scene(s) i would want to rewatch over and over, i wouldn't be able to point out a single one. With TharnType i can watch the scene when Type first initiated a kiss a million times, with Sotus i could watch Kongpop and Arthit in the bridge just as much, with Theory of Love i could watch the scene where Khai was looking at Third and then got turned on just from looking at his face and had to pretend to do push ups a billion time (hilarious), with Together with Me (which i didn't even like) i can remember Korn jumping in a lake to "return a container". I could keep going, you all get the point.
Very plot relevant seeing Fiat and Leo eating cake. Fiat and Leo shopping shoes and Doctor struggling with stutter…
Omg, porn music. I couldn't pinpoint what I hated so much about many of the love scenes this season but you just enlightened me. Like what happened with the tasteful and timely love scenes? Like did the worst segment of the fandom kidnapped the writers or something? Season one might not have had the greatest script but this is just a slump.
Like i don't want to diss it because I loved season one but what exactly is the point of this new season? Like, if you wanted to show cute moments, just make another special episode or a short season of the events leading up to their wedding (isn't gay marriage ban in thailand btw? Are they marrying overseas?). The plot has been seriously weak. As in, what is the plot of this season? The problems they are putting in their way regarding other people are so weak. Why are they taking that venue when we know those two are so secure in their relationship that the thought of them being tempted by others doesn't even land as a joke, let alone something to be worried about. I really hated how Type digressed in the last episode. So congratulations on regressing the characters, you've accomplished something at least. But you know what I hated more? The airbrush all over the episode. Like did anyone else noticed? The pimple that Gulf has on one of his cheeks wasn't visible at all. Before i could tell they were wearing makeup but last episode all i could see was flawless skin. Like the lack of that pimple has become a symbol for the decline in quality of this season. Am not going to drop it but it has been taking me two hours to get through the last two episodes and that's not good.
First of all, that skinny guy can go **** himself. The actor might be the nicest dude ever but I will stop watching anything his face appears in the future. Am not even saying it because of his free love attitude. That was probably the most interesting thing about him. I have no problem with people who are not looking for committed relationships and appreciate sex. I also would not have minded if those three had ended in a relationship if I had not liked that cute innocent guy so much I was glad he decided to peace out. He dodged a bullet, good for him. With that aside, I will also say i did not mind the cheating elements either. It's something that happens often and I like how the show painted clear lines as to what led to those events. The show showed how couples that can appear so strong can fall victims to monotony and lack of communication. However, it was in the "resolution" of the issues where I think the show ***" itself. At no point did anyone talk about the issues in their relationships. It became about blaming others as opposed to taking a good look at what was going wrong in the relationship. Also, one of the things I love so much about TharnType is how the main couple is shown to not just be together, but actually be in a relationship. Am not talking about sex, btw. Am talking about couples moment. The first thing I saw from the main couple was Knock playing videogames on his phone while in bed, on the couch, at work...like why don't you date the phone instead.
Like this is the most offensive portrayal of a female character I've seen in any BL so far. I saw very little of the series because, honestly, there wasn't much meat in this one and that skinny guy whose name I thankfully cannot recall has got to be my most hated character in any BL. The main characters had great chemistry though.
I have to say, ma glad to stuck by the show. Yes, it was predictable and I had to space out the first episodes or i would have dropped it, but that chemistry was too much. Am not going to downplay the issues that I had with the show which were related to how they grouped being gay with pedophilia. Like maybe they didn't want to "but" Type's experience but if that's the reason, am not accepting it. Some might say, "well they addressed that in the special episode", but did they? Type essentially played the "i know you so you aren't bad like the others" card. And then Tharn and Type's relationship started off very off-putting and some of those elements remained throughout the series. Like i make no room for violence in any relationship. Am glad I stuck to it at the end and am thankful I had just finished Theory of Love before i watched it (like that series tested my patience to a level i didn't know I had in me) and I loved it at the end so i gave this show the benefit big the doubt. Will never regret it but I also will not overlook the deep flaws.

There is obviously a backstory with them but am guessing am supposed to build that up in my head since the show is not getting there anyway soon. Doc and Champ have no chemistry.
