I especially share your remarks about the „netflixication“ of Korean Drama. It seems to me, that those things which used to set K-Dramas apart from the rest and therefor made them such a huge success are now sacrificed in favour of international compability. Another example: Keeping shoes on when entering a house / flat. It may be a petty remark, but as far as I know, it is very rude, to keep the shoes on, when entering a house and in part 1 it was part of the bullying that Yeon-Jin kept there shoes on, when they invaded Dong-Eun‘s place. Yet later on, Dong-Eun doesn‘t bother to walk around in High Heels at Yeo-Jeong‘s house. So I wonder, whether it is another concession to western habits … or me being just over conscious… ;-)
