Can we talk about the ONE thing DBK did right this week? They had a gay couple talking about legalized gay marriage…
Even though the telenovela drama may be tiring, the director/scriptwriter really tried to go out from the usual boys love way of dealing with mlm realtionships and gave us gay relationships.
All the talks with their parents, their fear of society, they talking about marriage, it's all there.
“Food Drama” is a genre in Japanese television. I know WDYEY is a gay series too, but it follows a typical “recipe of the day” formula (so does the manga). It’s not UWMA case. They put these food scenes just to fill the episodes cause they don’t have story for a 12 episode series.
Since the beginning I said "It's not entirely New's fault, the script is dull", but even with this kind of script,…
They made the novel’s plot a lil better, but New’s acting is just... Some episodes didn’t demand a lot from him so I didn’t paid attention, but gurl, these last 2 have been painful to watch. This guy needs some acting classes asap.
I agree with you about everything, except that they should or had already, received hate for Trapped. What I've…
I don't care about knwoning the end either, but BL fans tend to only watch something when they're sure it will have a love dovey ending for the main couple.
I'm not talking about how I feel, but how bl fandom react to things.

You're talking about the international reception of Trapped. It was acclaimed, but it was heavily bashed by taiwanese and chinese audiences. They even threatened the cast and production team. They had to public apologize for every episode on the live stream they used to do after the airing (which they only did once for MODC). All of that cause the audience couldn't wait to see what would happen.
Plus: The Untamed as a stand alone series is VERY confusing, it only worked cause it had a HUGE following from the novel before. Even here on MDL, you can see novel fans arguing with people who don't think the series should depend so much on the source material. So it was benefited by people already knowing how it would end. It wasn't Trapped case.
Every week, the director would blame the script, and then the scriptwrite would bash the director on on line foruns.
This drama clearly changed how they worked in MODC. They even changed the plot (It wasn't a school drama, it was a mystical plot) and the scriptwriter. It was postponed numerous times.
Frist of all, I loved this show. It was a light journey about young love.
That being said, this is full of missed opportunities. It is known that they’ve had production issues, changing the plot and scriptwriter, production delay (this was supposed to have came out in july), etc.
All the hate they’ve recieved about Trapped they tried to avoid here: no long story arcs, no misleading trailers, no spoilers on interviews, show a lot of skinship and long sex scenes. But all this turned the series a bit weak plot wise.
The homophobic father didn’t take 1 episode to accept his son, Hao Ting accepted he liked XiGu in 1 episode. Everything is fast here and a lot of good plots were wasted (what about XHT ex and their friends? LZG family? The twin who has a crush on YXG?) They spent 2 episodes with YXG not wanting to have sex to be resolved in a 4 minutes scene!
I know they didn’t have money and time, but specially the script seems hushed and focused on giving fan services for the ones who didn’t think that Trapped was a good BL cause it centered around a mistery, not around romance.
Overall it’s a good show, it differentiates from the meh Thai shows on air right now, but they clearly had issues and for critic watchers it’s full os missed plots.
It depends on what you prefer. I think this is really well made and I love it, and I’m not a novel fan (I haven’t…
There's a difference between characther development and long scenes without lines, omeletes being made, long pauses between lines. They just didn't have enough material for a 12 episodes series and it shows.
"PeteKao weren't a good couple since KMA. I think people misunderstood them with TayNew." The quality of a couple…
PeteKao never had the same chemistry TayNew had on variety shows, that's the point. They were a little better in Kiss The Series, but in Kiss Me Again it was just a hot mess.
This series is like a big filler episode. Most people who are liking it are either novel fans or BL beginners. If it were in 6-8 eps, it would have been great.
Plus: the product placement on this is really awkward, even worse than GMM shows. Some scenes are like big advertisements.
PeteKao weren't a good couple since KMA, I think people misunderstood them with TayNew. Having that in mind, plus the source material being pretty bad and the 13+ rating, I think this show is handling well with what they got. Maybe I would have put some cute scenes on the beginning just to calm down shippers nerves.
The director/script writers gave depth to all relations and chracters. No one is simply good or bad, everyone has their flaws and i think that this is were most BL fans got pissed. They like manichaean characthers. I do think that Pete is spoiled, but I can't handle Kao either.
The only thing that truly bothers me on this series, is New's acting skills. This guy is terrible.
Over all, it's an ok show, just like all other thai BL airing right now.
That would be really interesting but also terribly stupid and random. I bet its just a rumor
Every history people come up with crazy sad ending theories hahaha A lot of people believed that the professor from Right Or Wrong would die, the same for trapped. And well.... here we are, all of them with happy endings.
MODC may have a time jump showing them older, but I don't believe it'll have a tragic ending.
But it's more than a 3 way, it's more like a free love/poliamorous relationship.
All the talks with their parents, their fear of society, they talking about marriage, it's all there.

I hope they put subs on this too.
Now they're crazy about it.
I'm with you, MODC and Ossan's Love are the best on air right now,

Long steady shots, no true movements, it just seems plastic.
