Hmm, I see there's been a trend of BLs that don't focous exclusively on the relationship os the main characthers lately. And I know a few like that are premiering soon.

Indeed it's not for everyone's taste, but the trailer asured there'll be romance so for me it's fine. It's not like they're baiting the audience.

Can you spoil what they said and what did they mean with not a standart BL?

Till they get there we get some endearing moments I just despise.

The perfect and only acceptable ending for their storyline would be a The Skin I Live In ending.

They can keep the adbuction, torture and stockholm syndrome, but PLEASE don't make this a rape him till he loves you like is in the novel.

That being said, they almost didn't show any Vegas/Pete scenes. Either they already know the backlash this plot will have or they reduced them. I trully hope they change some parts of the plot, it crosses the line even for me who likes some extreme movies.

Not always. Just check The Night Beyond The Tricornered Window movie, it has zero BL and even bromance, but the source material is BL.

BL is about being of a a demographic and this show wasn't marketed as BL, but as bromance. Period.

After watching I do understand some complains thai viwers had.

Indeed the pacing seems a lil off, some scenes the acting is in authomatic mode. There are too many paralels to 1000 stars so this looks like a cheap nock off with the same cast.

I understand 2gether being only there cause it is still running on cinemas in neighbor countries. It was just announced for Singapore and it will be release in the Philippines too.

But a digital series doesn’t make sense. All other GMMTV original series for streaming plataforms since 2019 have been released on YouTube (My Gear and your gwon, Thonhon Cholantee, I’m tee Me Too, Never Too Late). This is the 1st since Our Skyy to not have a international simultaneous release.

I really do believe they didn’t like the result of the series and are releasing it fast (2 episodes/week) and only in Thailand.

There has been a lot of backlash about the body swap plot. I remember it was leaked on a board on Aof stories that this series would air in April. Out of nowhere it was announced for this month. It had ZERO promotion, OST, everything and now there are remarks by Thai audience it is stereotyped and colorist.

The plot is sooooo good, but I tend to find New's directing style so boring and outdated :( the trailer looks messy

ITSAY probably has some kind of exclusivity contract with LINE, that's why it is only officially avaiable there (and in some japanese streamings too). I believe when the exclusivity contract it's over they'll publish it on other sites. It happened before with Nadao's Great Men Academy

Disney+ and Disney+Hotstar are completely different plataforms.

Hotstar has been stablished in India and SEA for years,, it has it's own servers and has adult content and sports. Disney just added their contenet on those countries and renamed it to Disney+Hotstar.

It's close to Hulu/Star+ than Disney+ itself in concept, but as I said, it has its own servers separatly from Disney+.

People advertising this as BL but the promotion made it clear from day 1 it was a Buddy series.

Now we have people complaining it’s not BL enough when it never was supposed to be.

But this always was promoted as bromance. Yes the manga is published as BL (although unfinished) but all the marketing of the series put a HUGE emphasis in the “budy” relationship of the leads.

It was a very solid 1st episode. But the whole arranged marriage doesn’t make sense or has any impact if it’s not legal to get married in the series Universe.

As Kratai said, it’s a very common Thai thing in straight dramas. BLs just do the same. The same goes for the static/awkward kissing and forced/dubious consent scenes.
