Till where the series adapted the manga, Kieta Hatsukoi doesnt feature kissing between either couples. They only kiss a few chapters ahead where the series ended (in the spirng firework festival).
Kabe Koji's manga isnt avaiable anywhere but Japan, but I believe they take a long time till they kiss by the bits I found online.
MBM and OFC are based on more adult manga, so it makes sense. More Than Words even featured a very good sex scene on the part adapted from a BL manga! There's the movie Sing In Love with strong sex scenes, but this is anogther J BL category that isn't really everyone's taste. But this isn't really an excuse, Minato's Laundromat had kisses even though the manga didn't reach this point yet.
At the end, motionless kissing is the standart for all TV series in Japan. I don't think this will change. At best we get scenes like in MBM or Eternal Yesterday.
