Totally agree- the childhood history was unnecessary. Felt last episode was really lethargic like they were really dragging it on to last 16 episodes. Couldn't stand the annoying boss so irritating and pointless.
Prof_Kim-Kang May 12, 2025
totally agree the last episode seemed to last forever! Was happy to see the ML in a good role compared to the role he had in "MeloMovie".
universara May 11, 2025
I'm just watching it - skipping a few episodes as only wanted to see ML again as saw him recently in Melo Movie. Wish kdramas wwre shorter like jdramas - often 16 episodes too much..Definitely good actor will watch out for him again. Personally get fed up with the orphan/ abandoned tropes. Have 2 more episodes to finish it - read some spoilers so ending not too sure what I'll think about that.

Yes, you are correct. It is like someone had a lightbulb moment but they just can't workshop a plausible romantic…
definitely agree

good review having watched quite a few jdramas/kdramaa since I just recently discovered them I'd recommend not to watch it: there's a lot more jdramas doing it better (age difference couple "May to December "), arranged marriages ("Marriage with me seriously?) Housemates becoming romantic partners (why I dress up for love) - all 3 had better chemistry between couples and more believable.
Zogitt May 11, 2025
You expressed perfectly how I felt about the "romance" - very weird. Definitely FL would need to sort herself out before getting into any adult relationship. She Definitely had issues (besides hating housework) which she needed to deal with. Found ending weird - that last episode was even weirder regurgitating everything that we'd already seen

Review Brewing Love
I was generous, lol. This drama did nothing for me, tbh. Thank you for your feedback. Have a nice day. 🙂
Just started first episode and already struggling lots of people seem to be shouting.. not too sure it's for me either

Thanks for review couldn't get past 1st episode- felt like stalking and hard to believe Buddhist monk owns private jet!!
Darya May 4, 2025
Thanks for the advice saw him first in "Welcome to Samdahl" and thiught he was very good. Didn't actually recognise that this was him til I checked the cast!
MariliT May 4, 2025
oh thank you I didn't recognise the same actor I saw inn"Welcome to Samsahl" where I thought he was excellent- admittedly this series predates WTS!

my question was since when MONKs start running for sexual pleasures ?
Just watching episode 1 do monks have private jets??

Thank you for your review I agree entirely with you. Whilst I like Kang Song, I didn't find the FL in the Korean version plausible. I also preferred this version- I've seen the FL in another Japanese series and I like her. For me it also felt more realistic (for a start the FL seemed to spend more time on hr art than the FL in the Korean series. Everything about this I loved - perhaps as an older person I prefer the Japanese more contemplative style. Watched it twice. Loved all the characters

Thank you for encapsulating how I felt about this- I loved the ML in the Korean series but felt the FL wasn't exactly killing herself for her art. Loved both ML and FL in this: found it deeper more mature thoughtful- FL did seem to actually work on her art. Have seen both ML and FL in other jdramas and definitely will watch what they do.

You really can't compare Kdrama and Jdramas. They do romance very differently and the face that most live manga…
yes agree new to both jdramas and kdramas. Do find the manga FL style bit irritating big eyes acting like adolescent but guess that's the style of manfa - not part of my culture so different.
Jess Apr 24, 2025
Just started watching 1st episode and already found it weird a credit union bank sends 2 staff to get a credit card back. The ML angst sending messages was enough- thankfully found I'm not alone in my opinion on this series. Will watch something else

Review Melo Movie
I liked My Beloved Summer, but dropped Melo Movie. I started it for the actors and dropped it because the story…
I didn't know any of the actors and finally finished it - mainly because I was waiting for new episodes of j-drama. Not too sure what the point of it all was - ML career change weird given his almost obsessive compulsion with movies. What did he live on for the last 2 years if he wasn't a film critic?? Never saw My beloved summer so not too sure want to after this! Seemed excessively long for what it was.

Review First Love
Totally agree just rematches it after 2 years. The part were Takeru Satoh tells her he can't join her for the Napolitana - heartbreaking especially with the music: I think it may be Hatsukoi song? But defneed to get that music even after buying the OST. My husband can't understand why we're listening to an OST that he never saw! Everything was perfection
