Honestly, the concept of the K-drama didn’t catch my attention at first, but I decided to give it a chance because I wanted to try watching season 3.
As for season 1… I feel like they should have gone with a different setting with more youthful vibes, along with actors who could reflect that same energy. Why make an office worker in her 30s look so pathetic?
From my point of view, Yumi didn’t have any memorable character development. There was no real growth in her personality; from the very beginning, she comes across as someone who can’t be alone, and the ending reinforces exactly that: her constant need to be in a relationship.
There were too many episodes focused on their dates, but honestly, I didn’t feel any chemistry. It also never felt like they had enough trust to fully express their feelings. It’s a shame, because it seemed like all that time was just to keep Yumi from feeling alone. On top of that, Woog was never completely honest with her.
Another thing that didn’t convince me was the male lead’s appearance. He looks too unkempt, and that was one of the reasons I didn’t want to watch the drama at first; even from the poster, he gives off that impression.
I didn’t necessarily expect them to end up together, but I was hoping for at least some personal growth from Yumi… and it just wasn’t there. That’s why I don’t understand why it has such a high rating.
I’m not sure if I’ll watch season 2… although I would like to keep watching Jinyoung’s performance.
I don’t recommend it.
I can't wait for next week to see more epilogues, haha
