Good point. But what if they're only good at brief encounters? (Ex. The Before Trilogy, One Day, etc.) Perhaps, they could keep missing each other. (Ex. A Lot Like Love) That's how I see it basing from all the movies I watched.
Moral lesson: Don't hesitate. It may take years to get another chance. AND when you finally get that chance, things are not the same anymore. So, take a chance and risk. Go for it!
