Last episode was just delulu

The beginning was really good, their romance, the arranged marriage trope, their chemistry, their skinship... until it all turned into a kind of makjang. Basically, every parent is garbage and the leads feel guilty for that. But it wasn't that bad. It was watchable actually. I'm not a big fan of thriller dramas but I liked this one, I felt engaged and interested in the why for all the mysteries involving the couple.

However, I wished the drama ended in ep 10 cause the big revelations were the highlight of the narrative, which was ruined by eps 11 and 12.

What was that last episode really?! The contrivances in the plot were so visible that it hurt me. What was the need of all that war zone part? Unnecessary! And his reasons for leaving her were so meh. Like, if he needed time to think about what his father did to her family, that's ok I understand that. But not talking to her, leaving her in the dark and expecting her to just sit idly waiting for his return was so fucked up of him. I hated the ML in that moment. It just wasn't the same for me in the end. I was really bothered by all that. So much so that I couldn't care about these characters and their love anymore.

The second leads were interesting and had chemistry, but they were, as many are, just there to support the plot and be pretty together. They had potential but were underused for the sake of the leads' narrative. Disappointing.

I'm giving an 8 because, in terms of writing, the drama did good until close to the ending. But the last episode was just delulu to me.
