I didn't feel much pressure coming from Shuyu towards Changge. The couples in this drama are all in healthy respectful relationships without crazy scandels and that's why I love this drama.

I want to see them in a modern drama

I can translate the gist of it. The emperor revealed to CG that her mother was the one who wrote a letter to him alerting him that the former crown prince was planning to kill him. He went and killed the former crown prince instead and wanted to protect CG and her mother. CG's mom then took her own life over guilt of betraying her husband after she got the emperor to promise to keep CG safe. After that, CG asks for evidence and the emperor said he couldn't keep any evidence in case the coup failed. The emperor wanted CG to not go after ASun telling her that is's too dangerous and he won't be able to help her. The emperor also offered a life free from worry if CG was to stay. CG refused saying ASun is her man and she needs to save him. The emperor said he respects her decision. At the end, CG calls the emperor uncle again meaning that she has forgiven him. In the end she said if he were to become a tyrant she would return to kick his ass.

I felt it was too happy. was fully expecting CG or AS to be martyred. if not the main leads, at least Hao Du.

The Imperial Coroner and it's pretty good.
Rattan is pretty good for those of you who like strong female leads.
I think I'll check out Fight Break Sphere for Leo

I was just looking for something random to watch while having dinner and found this gem. Now regretting my decision because I started too early and now have to wait :(

I speak some mandarin but still have trouble understanding without subs. Especially the Emperor and his ministers. They speak ancient Chinese that's different from modern Chinese. Kind of like the difference between Shakespeare english and modern english

you can. but I'vd say watch 30 then 31 and pick your favorite ending. I like 30 more then 31 personally and it's not exactly a sad ending. There is a sad tone to it but if you give it some thought there's actually nothing to be sad about.

well, the main characters did kiss but... birds... you'll know what i'm talking about when you get to it.

i'm on 42 and there's only one weird kiss scene for one of the side couples so far. but the chemistry between the couples in the show are so good that it's still satisfying even without kissing scenes.
