Idk. It was already a stretch to believe the leads were supposed to be 38 years old towards the end. I don't think they could pull off 40+ year olds.

The Long Ballad is pretty good

wow what a ride. 10/10 masterpiece.

I'vd rate it a 7/10 on romance. If you watch this drama for romance you might be disappointed. This drama is more of a fantasy drama first with romance added on to it.

And yes, definitely a slow burn. The leads start off with a master to servant relationship and the romance doesn't really start until half way though the show. When it does start it's well done and the chemistry between the leads are pretty hot.

The Long Ballad (Dilraba) it's a historical drama but has very healthy relationships.

Planning to check out Who Rules The World when it comes out for more Yang Yang. I think it'll release later this year.

without the "passive" aggressiveness and "implied" insults, their convo went like this:

Yu Tu: *not interested in talking about it*
Xia Qing: QJJ is high EQ and low IQ because she didn't get into the best university like us
Yu Tu: actually the university she went to is pretty good as well.
Xia Qing: well, ent circles are full of bad people. to be as famous and successful as QJJ is now, she must have been sleeping around.
Yu Tu: *gets angry at that statement* you were right for breaking up with me because I never cared about you.
Xia Qing: that's all you got to say?
Yu Tu: we haven't talked in a long time. don't be a jealous bitch
Xia Qing: well I hope you get dumped you little gold digger.
Xia Qing: *storms out*

Love the scene in ep 16 where Yu Tu meets his ex Xia Qing the second time. The script, acting, and even bgm are all so good. There's that passive aggressiveness, implied insults, and Yu Tu's cold hearted rejection.
