i get what you are saying, but not everyone can afford large apartments with designer furniture you usually see in dramas. I like the fact that this drama portray how poor people live.

I agree, Sang Yan wouldn't exist in real life. He is a perfect green flag ML in fantasy dramaland. The web novel that is the source material for this drama has a readership that is 93% female.

Korea dramas are good, but China/Japan/Taiwan can all produce high quality dramas. (also Thai if you're into really smutty BL dramas or so I've heard) Chinese dramas have a high episode count so it's suited for slow burn romance and large historical dramas.
