The movie kind of laid out everything that was going on, but basically Su-mi (the main girl) WAS the step mother the whole time. She was the one doing everything in the house. That’s why the step mother was receiving the pills from the father because that was Su-mi. The step mother was never present in the house nor was her sister Su-yeon because she was already dead. The ending of the movie was basically the beginning of what caused Su-mi to become sick because the death of her sister and also the hatred towards the step mother. It’s a pretty damn depressing movie.

I think the movie was pretty understandable. Not in like the message of the movie because I didn’t go that deep but the plot from my understanding. The main girl is stuck in a loop or a video game you could say because of the old guy at the end. In a video game you can always replay the story. All the main girl had to do was something different to break the cycle. If I’m correct two girls hinted or told her to do so. One of her high school friend and the girl who lured her to the tunnel she said “we keep dying because of you” something along those lines. I mean it was all there I think the craziest of the movie made the audience confuse on what is actually going.
