I do wish they would follow up with more seasons. Why bother EVEN coming up with a drama and wasting all that time, effort and etc., if you they do not plan to continue the story. So much to uncover here. One of my favorite dramas!!

Now, some people may NOT like this. And THIS IS OKAY!!! I have a right to my opinion as anyone has to theirs. Also, yes, our American Gov't has it own share of shadiness, woes and other "shyt" beyond explanation.
But most of the "real world" knows that if it weren't for the "white" predominately American presence in S. Korea; that N. Korea would charge in and try to take control or would take control.
I am of mixed Asian Oriental race myself and adopted by a white Scandinavian American family. From what I have read and researched don my own: S. Korea has the "white" American Gov't to thank for on many numerous things; NOT just the other whites from other countries.
Yeah..our American gov't is often a joke and it embarrasses me quite a bit. My country has done terrible things just like the other nations. Does it make it right?? OF COURSE NOT!!! I hear this about every damn nation on earth, not just the USA. Every country has its high, low and unfortunately sad, despicable if NOT vile behaviors and moments.
Again, as I mentioned in another comment: One's past DOES NOT define one's future.
We Americans borrowed from Europe, Africa and from the Far East. In return, they borrowed from us and other nations of the like. These said nations ALSO took advantage of us and lied to us JUST LIKE EVERY NATION DOES TO ONE ANOTHER!!! S. Korea is NOT alone in this. Now as for the historical accuracies/inaccuracies of one's country??? Well, even here in the USA...they do historical dramas/movies etc..., and even when people complain, TPTB STILL (for the most part) produce the show and profit for it. SAD BUT TRUE!!! PEOPLE HERE DO VOICE THEIR OPINIONS and some even hhave others sign a petition to stop production or to boycott.
BUT IT DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK!!! People OVER HERE choose to either watch or NOT watch...PLAIN AND SIMPLE. No need to for media bullying or to scar a star/celebrity/person for life. We JUST SIMPLY MOVE ON!! Most of us over hhere (for the MOST part) CAN SEPARATE FACT FROM FICTION. Unfortunately, many others cannot seem to do so. --------------------------------------------
I will NEVER never truly understand "WHY" the world cannot live in harmony and be honest. We all will get our due to the piper some day. Some perhaps more than others. Judgement Day is not to far away.
On the flip side of things, I do enjoy reading other people's opinions even when I may disagree. It truly opens my own mind and helps me with my own personal self growth.

So funny that you brought "communism" up. I work in a hospital. Less than 3.5 weeks ago, I met a patient who is an American citizen since many moons ago. I am NOT quite sure how we got on the topic about the S. Korean Gov't; but she told me that the country is becoming a joke.
She said she no longer cares to even bother go visit because is has started to become more "communist" like. The rest of her relatives who wish to "get out" will be moving here to obtain citizenship. She further even stated (which many of my American-S. Korean friends have told me), that it is worth maybe one visit.
Otherwise, not to bother wasting my money to visit a country that barely takes care of its own people, where the women are treated like dirt or worse, and that bullying is real over there. Cops are a big joke and the many children suffer at the hands of men and vile women.
Now of course, every country has its issues but there she said; most of S. Korea's "ignorance" is quite draining and blinding. This will be the cause of one of their future downfalls.
Basically, she said people (most) live in a glass bubble. Unless that glass is shattered; ignorance will live on and the rest of the world at some point will NOT give a damn.
As for me, I personally do NOT follow K-pop or K-dramas as much. I do watch the shows from time to time. But I have moved onto other dramas from other countries. I have always watched S. Korean/European dramas, movies and shows. But now, I watch other countries I wish to learn about.
I hear everyone's side on the topics at hand. I agree that shows should NOT be cancelled. I also strongly feel that stars of the shows should not be condemned for life over a past mistake. UNLESS the crime is evil like murder or something.
One's past does NOT define a person.
We all have made mistakes and I hope that many of us have learned from them. Holding onto anger ONLY spreads extreme bad energy and negativity to the body and soul. IMOPHO (in my own personal honest/humble opinion); Many S. Koreans (and others of the like) tend to hold onto past mistakes, deep rooted grudges, hatred to both their own people and outsiders for many wrong reasons. This kind of attitude and bad behaviors affect the future generations.

We need to be able to have a civil conversation and it to be constructive; EVEN if the opinions of others disagree w/our own. I do my best to keep an open mind. I know I have no right (and neither does anyone else unless they were TRULY BORN SINLESS) to cast judgements on others.
