Weirdest Short Cdrama Ever
Like, don't get me wrong. I've probably watched thousands of these short/vertically filmed chinese dramas by now. I've seen a LOT of weird takes. I've seen weird/taboo relationships. I've never seen anything as weird as a woman falling in love with her best friend's son whom she helped raise and is the godmother of. Like... those uncle/honorary niece stories have nothing on this particular level of bizarre. To each their own, I suppose. This story is 100% not for me but it's somebody's cup of tea.I give the acting itself 10/10 because everybody in this horrible show did an excellent job.

Misrepresenting Mental Illness?
Okay, I didn't like this Meng Na drama that much. The acting was good, imo, it's just... the main character clearly suffered from mental illness that didn't just have to do with her hubby being bad at communication/cold to her. She definitely had depression. When he later explains that he and the girl she suspected him of having a crush on literally did nothing wrong, she still acted cold to him. Idk, this one was just... she killed herself because she didn't get validation from him for a moment and didn't bother to ask him in detail when he had a moment. I get that she felt abandoned, but damn.Like, the writers make it seem as though her killing herself was valid simply because her hubby was horrible at communicating.
As a rebirth drama, i give this a 7 overall. I would rewatch it again simply because Meng Na and Yu Lun Hao did so good in their roles but the storyline is lacking. Is it a cute sort of first love drama? yes. but would i recommend it as a rebirth drama to rebirth lovers? no. I feel like anyone suffering from depression who watches this would feel very put off by it

not a drama that pokes fun at disabilities or uses the idea cheaply
Okay, so, I come from a medical background and usually these dramas where the character has some temporary disability end up feeling cheap to me just because there's no real consideration or representation for said disabilities. The writers usually just use a disability in these as a cover story for a character whose family has infighting or cure the character completely, so they don't have to write about actual disabilities. This one is different. We're actually able to see from start to finish in this character's journey of temporary disability + recovery much more than we normally get. I really like that about this drama. It represents disabling injury well and gives a touch of humanity to the ML's mental suffering as he goes through that life change. The romance is also very good. I like this because the actors have great chemistry but at the same time, we get to see multiple sides of characters who seem very simple on the surface but are actually greatly complex. The husband only married the wife because of their child, yet when the time comes she really steps up to the plate and takes care of him well. He's able to see who she really is and they basically do get to know each other all over again and fall in love. It's such a well-written drama.

Spoiler Alert: It's Depressing
Hated this drama. It's one of those where even though both leads did AMAZING, you just hate the storyline because both characters really deserve better from each other and themselves. Tsk, tsk tsk. I prefer both of these leads in romances or action roles. These sad and depressing storylines always leave me feeling down afterward.Again, both leads did AMAZING. There's no question about the cast or the story itself being good, this is just not my own cup of tea. This is maybe for someone who prefers those sad emotional roller coasters.

must watch if you're a hopeless romantic
Aaaaa, this is way too cute. I love both these leads already so I was definitely convinced to watch it when I saw them in it and they did not disappoint. This is truly a softest of soft love stories about a woman who was literally sent to the world the ML exists in to give him unconditional love. It's so heartwarming to watch them so devoted. Was this review helpful to you?

Made Me Cry Extra Hard
Okay, this one is not for those who can't handle a sad storyline. I thought I could handle this but it had me crying the whole way. This is not your typical "lead has cancer and is dying" storyline. Which, yes, that's the main plot but it doesn't suffocate the linear movement of the story.
The lead actors did amazing. Firstly, it was way too easy to get attached to the ML. They really give you his whole life story and his troubles really start to feel like your own. I won't say too much about the more confusing aspects of the series because there are some fantasy elements I feel are open to interpretation but overall, the romance is 10/10, the acting is 10/10, the storyline is 10/10.
I just wish this had a sequel or spin-off of some sort because I want to know these characters on an even deeper level.

Chemistry between the leads is insane
I've seen every version of this. This one (the original) has to be my all-time fave. There's something so quirky about the main character. She's actually very relatable. Shuangxu is often afraid to speak up for herself and we see her throughout the drama start to gain more confidence and ofc the main romance plot. Wow, Jin Jiayu and Huang Yun Yun really have some FIRE CHEMSITRY. As a romance series, this outdid itself. I mean, the acting alone is magical. You really feel as though you're sucked in to their little push and pull of romance for the entire series. I love the way they protect each other. Ahhh, this is just my favorite cdrama of all time. I've downloaded it, I've watched it several times. It's seared into my brain. 10/10 would recommend for romance lovers. Was this review helpful to you?

Super Sweet Romance
Aaaaaaaah, this one had me giggling, blushing, kicking my feet. One of my favorite cute, lil romances. They both delivered these roles so well. I would watch these two in any kind of feel-good romance again. This is one of my highly recommended cute dramas for this year. I also love how this is basically a huge fangirl fantasy. I giggled a lot watching this one.Was this review helpful to you?

Messed Up Meeting Premise
TW: Mention of r --peThe way this couple meets through ACTUAL SA is disgusting. I really wanna know who writes these garbage short series sometimes. That being said, actually this couple and this drama are so sweet. If they hadn't included the bit about him consciously r--ping her, this would be a 10/10 for me.

Omg cutest first love
This was truly just a silly & sweet little first love story. My favorite part definitely had to be how Takara told Tanaka he likes a dude and Tanaka proceeded to have the most confused look on his face and even got as close as he could to the glass of the door to spy on his bestie and the new bf lol. 10/10 bestie right there. Was this review helpful to you?
