Li Tianze and Wang OK pre-performance part was just awkward to watch. I don't know if it was because it was mostly her doing the talk and LT barely saying anything or what but they're too good to be focusing on this CP sketch
Many of the ones leaving of episode 7 left me wondering why do I keep trusting the audience on Chinese shows giving good votes. I wish next time I want to watch a show of the sorts someone stop me!
I wish there was more diversity when it comes to collaborations. There's absolutely no surprises, most of them just keep it safe choosing their BFFs. I've seen performers trying new things on other shows.
You can try watching on Viki they have up until episode 19
I realised that they have different numbers on Viki and Wetv because on wetv There's ep. 1 part 1, ep. 1 part 2... and on Viki ep. 2, ep. 2, etc. So I'm watching episode 13 I believe, not that far behind from the last update
This is the first time I'm watching this kind of show, I'm on episode 5 and I thought they were 10 or 12 but they're 29? 😶 But I really like it so far. And where are you watching episode 17? I'm watching on Wetv and they have until episode 7.
She was being really unprofessional about the whole situation. She could have voiced out her concerns from the…
100% agree. I also noticed they don't show her much giving her opinion on the performances. I don't think she really understood how to give constructive feedback. The guest judges have done a better job.
The way she asked the singers for their reasons was uncomfortable. It didn't seem like giving them a chance to…
I didn't know about Li Tianze changing the lyrics (I hate that wetv doesn't sub the songs like they did with Chuang) but it seemed that the audience, the other contestans and the mentors were very touched by it. Both performances were very good and she should've been flattered or she should've said no to them covering the song. She actually cried other times in the past episodes and I hope she's actually enjoying being there, the level of singers is really good even though I don't always agree with the votes.
Huang Qi Shan. I didn't know about her before this show and now I don't have a good image of her. Since episode 1 she gave some hurtful comments, specially to the younger contestants. On episode 4 the contestants had 1 on 1 battles, a girl and a boy chose to sing a song written by her (the production were the ones giving them the songs to choose from) and she basically said that she hated that they were covering the song that was so dear to her that she was sure they picked it because it was a hit song and not because they really thought the song was as emotional to them as it was to her. She cried A LOT, and since the subs are AI translated at first I thought she was very flattered to see them sing the song. Even after the performance she kept insisting that the song was by her to the people and no one was going to make it justice, JUST HER. It was a bit uncomfortable to watch I think even the other mentors were confused, until Ella said "Hadn't been for them singing this song today, I would not have known this song", she then had to admit "so I guess I was wrong". It was so awful to see! I really hope she quit being so self centered and let the contestants perform they way they think suits them better.
But I really like it so far. And where are you watching episode 17? I'm watching on Wetv and they have until episode 7.
