I don't know why when an Asian drama, series or movie has a 18+ certification, some people are quick to say some scenes are unnecessary. Western works like GOT or Westworld never dropped their rating due to some harsh scenes and they have plenty of those. Dramas and movies reflect the real world which doesn't always has a certification for all audiences. I find it really unfair when a low rating is given because of some scenes that some people might find unnecessary when they didn't even finish watching the whole thing! If you are a person who can't stand people suffer, DON'T WATCH THIS. If you don't believe me, learn to read the tags! They're there for a reason. I liked the drama because it gives a voice to those people who become invisible to some but they deserve to be treated with respect and compassion just like everyone else. They're dramas of all kinds, maybe this one doesn't suit you, I'm sure they are other that might.
Was it good ? Iām looking for sth new to watch with manly guys as IAM so tired of watching all these young guys…
I really liked it. Personally, I didn't feel it dragged on or added unnecessary things. At the beginning there are some funny scenes, all the supporting cast was brilliant imo. It was a classic story but it was enjoyable. Of course, it all depends on personal taste, BUT, no infantil voices if that's a plus for you š
I just finished watching it and my god, what a drama! It reminded me of The rebel princess in a way, with all the politica and the army. I enjoyed it so much, loved it 100%!
It's possible Rosie is taking care of her parents as they are aging.. A lot do that
Even her daughter said that her grandparents' house was too small for her things, Huang Yimei could've bought a bigger house for all four of them to be comfortable. I think that part, them not moving out was the most unrealistic for me.
I just finished it and I gotta say I liked it. Although, I must say I can only see character development on Su, everyone else is just the same from beginning to end, even Rosie. I know she's supposed to be a free spirit, beautiful girl/woman who can make anyone fall in love with her but she just acted and reacted the same way since she was younger so everyone around her, including her ex-boyfriend and ex-husband, didn't seem to change either. She didn't even moved out of her parents' house even though she is making a lot of money! Anyway, it kept me entertained while it lasted. One last thing, I would've enjoyed it more if I hadn't read the summary with the whole story in it!!! Please someone fix that.
I've seen a 7 minutes clip with pretty much the whole story and it doesn't seem to be an easy watch. Although the female character is supposed to be 24 y.o. (and the actress is over 30) she looks younger while the actor is 62 which can make some people uncomfortable. She is clearly in a situation where she will get any chance to get even a little improvement on her life when this old man who wants to have a child appears in her life and makes the proposal about a marriage and better life for her as long as they have a baby. While she agrees I don't think it was ever in her plans to actually sleep with the man, problems ensue and her life instead of getting better it gets worse. Like I said, it's not easy to watch, the girl's life is filled with bad decisions and their consequences.
I finished watching all the episodes but on some fanmade videos there's a scene where Yi Manman is trying to bite Ling Jiushi's neck and I think I missed that? Which episode is it or is it a bonus scene?
I'm on episode 11 and I need to know how old is Huang Yimei up until then because I don't know whether she's being childish or she has anger issues. I can't help but being on the guy's side on most situations.
Originally it was released as 78 eps. It has since been released and reformatted to 38 eps after its official…
Yes I got that, but the numbers are not adding if on Bilibili there are 78 of 40 minutes and on Viki 38 of also 40 minutes. Maybe they cut/edited some parts? I actually didn't compare scenes. Since I was having a week off work I decided to commit to watch it on Bilibili, God knows why
Can someone explain me about the number of episodes? Because on this profile it says 78 ep of 20 minutes. On Viki there are 38 of 40 minutes which it's basically the same. But there's a channel on Bilibili that has 78 episodes, the first 39 of 40 minutes and the rest of the episodes of 20 minutes on average (some are just 6 minutes). What's the difference?
I never understand the need for ppl to watch that clout seeking hag, get upset over her biased opinions, and then…
Wow, I was just saying that I saw some people commenting they're watching the drama because of her review and how I unsubscribed from her YT channel, no need to be that aggressive. I never followed her adviced like it was gospel, I watch whatever I want but I appreciated her technical point of view. I actually appreciated seeing tweets from people who thought same as me and replied without being agressive, just pointing out her wrong ways. Just like she can't tell me what to watch, I can't tell somebody to stop watching her or I'll be as bad as her.
