I finished the novel last night and I really feel for both characters. Both had their reasons for their actions.…
Yes, exactly! I felt my heart break everytime someone said anything remotely mean to Paeng!

Oh, really? *sigh* I'm honestly so relieved to hear that. Because the story has tons of potential, but this also means that it could very well go sideways if not handled properly. hence the initial apprehension on watching it before it starts airing regularly. I absolutely adore Kao and can totally picture her as Paeng. No words needed for Mark lol.

Quick question, in the novel they had an almost 10 year age gap. Is that still the case in the drama?

Ugh, just read the novel. All I can say is, if they bring even 70% of Paeng's character into the drama, I'll be very satisfied.

The girl literally suffered the entire time and all I wanted to do was give her a glass of hot chocolate and a hug. Emotional scars from her parents suicide, the abandonment she suffered even before that and the egging of kids from her school... Everything accumulated into her believing that she would be happy and have a place called home as long as she Arthit get married. That was even her father's last wish and something that Arthit's father really wanted to fulfill as well. All the poor girl wanted was to belong. She legit thought that Arthit would abandon her, which is what prompted her to accuse him of raping her. It was an extremely ugly moment and I can never excuse her for it, but the book did a good job of explaining us her side of the story.

It still strikes with me that when Arthit and everyone else questioned her personality after she came back to the farm and Arthit's father thought that this was actually the real Paeng still resonates with me. Yes, she was passive at best but that was because she just didn't have the mental capacity left to deal with everyone's hatred and disdain towards her. She did storm to her BFF's adopted parents house and gave them a nice two cents when they unceremoniously kicked her out of the house showed that the old Paeng is still there, but she's just emotionally checked out when it is something concerning herself. Arthit's accident left too big of an imprint on her and made her extremely cautious of her actions lest someone else loses her life because of her, words and actions alike.

She was a kid when everything happened and, worst of all, she actually saw her father kill himself in front of her own eyes. It deeply engraved itself into her mind, the thought that her father would rather die than be with her. She was merely a desperate child who was pushed over the edge due to the people and circumstances around her. She eventually got all the money from her father and mother's estate and was financially stable, but at what cost?

I do understand Arthit's original reaction to her, considering he himself was sort of pushed over the edge by Paeng as well. But I guess because we're more privy to Paeng's thoughts and sufferings in the novel that after a while I just wanted her to get the job done and get the hell out. it didn't help that the whole getting together was extremely rushed and kinda made sense but at the same time it didn't? Idk. Maybe I'm just too emotionally invested in the novel at this point lol

Fair warning, I haven't started watching yet. I'll probably do it tomorrow because regular episodes :D But do tell how it's going so far!!

She won't be full of confidence but with guilt , she will be totally different .
Oh yes! The prefect time to open the Pandora's box would be smack dab in the middle. Maybe episode 10-11 if we're being realistic? Because the novel was very ambiguous about Arthit's feelings. But here I want to see them both suffer and grow together! Let the angst begin lol!

BTW, I should add because I've been extremely let down by some adaptations so far, I have not yet started watching this one. I'll be watching it from tomorrow onwards on the account of daily episodes. So please, do tell how it is so far :))

Yes, definitely. I'm also only going by the spoiler released and the text from the novel. Maybe the switched things up a little, who knows? But good things it's going to be airing daily!! So we'll know very soon :))

Yes, here's hoping! In the novel, it was in the last few pages so I really hope they made some changes here... I'll be so disappointed if they pulled another MHIL here :/

I, for one, am glad that she's feeling guilty because going by the spoilers, what she did to him was terrible. But saying that, I don't want her guilt to manifest itself so deeply that she becomes a complete doormat, which is very much possible going by the previews >.<
All I can hope is the ML has a few episodes to redeem himself, rather than a lame apology in the last episode and curtains down -_-

Does anyone know where I can find an English translation of the novel that the show is based on? Or even the name of the novel and the writer?

Everyone's waiting for this one TT
Even under the comment section of Doulou Continent, Oath of Love and even Song of Glory, people are mentioning The Wolf and when it will be released.

It's honestly insane that even with so much buzz, it's still not released. :/
