it's been a while but i do remember the author making some concerning statements about mental health when the webcomic first came out... so yeah maybe im extra critical about it here. also some fans used to romanticise the story A LOT, especially in the beginning.
anyways, that doesn't really matter because
1. i still don't think we need to spread that kind of content, we can have psychological thrillers without problematic portrayals of mental health issues bc it is one big issue that this genre has in general, be it in movies/shows or books. but i don't want to get into a whole discussion of media affecting real life right now.
2. some ppl might like it and good for them, opinions can differ ofc! but i can still write about my issues with it and my own concerns, as well, and as i said. i personally prefer a story to have more to it than just f*cked up content to shock the audience because i think that gets old really fast and rarely has any substance, i just prefer to have MORE

i enjoy horror movies/shows a lot but i certainly didnt enjoy killing stalking for many reasons and dont think its a good exploration of mental health issues and stuff. its just dark and shocking for the sake of it, i need more than that and dont think this show needs to be made. i can still express that opinion 😅

not gonna lie, i'm not a fan of the non-con stuff in the first few episodes :// they are really toeing the line here with feeding into the predatory gay stereotype,,,
