It's a common drama trope but, I understand your frustration. They never give an exact number but I'm assuming he's supposed to be sorta close in age to her even though in real life he's much older. The writers definitely could've elaborated more but, I think they sacrificed that for more time and effort put into the main leads romance and the progress of Jaerim's relationship with O Sol. Jaerim teases her quite a bit the morning after he confessed and he was just being flirty but it came out creepy lol. Are you planning on dropping?

Rooftop became creepy real quick. It's as if the writers are scared peaple liked him more than the main guy so…
There is a reason why he waited....he wasn't that much older than her. If you remember in the flashback he was in college and she was a senior in high school. They are both consenting adults now. Also, I think he was just teasing about moving into the rooftop just because of her...we've seen him tease her quite a lot of times in this drama. However, I agree with you about the psychologist part but this IS a rom-com so I doubt the writers were keeping the professional aspects of the job in mind while trying to progress O sol and Jaerim's relationship.
