To the People who posted very long reviews just to air how bad this drama is for them, I’m surprised you found…
I've watched dull and boring dramas in the past in completion. I feel that that's the only way to write reviews, is to watch a drama in full. Otherwise I would have no basis for my ratings. So yes, both positive and negative reviews are justified and to each their own.
Another very happy viewer of this drama. We have lost count of how many individuals like you since last May. Yes,…
I'm guessing actors such as Wu Lei and the actor who played She'er, to name a few. They were together in the series Tomb of the Sea, which is one adaptation of DaoMu BiJi.
On the 3rd episode but I still can't warm up to ML acting....hopefully this will change....
It will. I think I started to warm up to him at ep5. I ended up liking the actor and the character that he portrayed so much. Hopefully you will too. :)
Congratulations Liu Yuning. I love his voice. I can't describe the feelings Tian Wen gave me when I first heard…
She sang for a number of her dramas including Pretty Li Hui Zhen, The Flame's Daughter and Eternal Love of Dream. I personally don't like her singing voice that much, it's a bit too girly sounding for me, but the songs themselves are nice.
Nice! Yet, looking at this video, it is clear that in some of the dramas, they really made her face way too white.…
There is legitimacy. You have to be blind to not see how bad the makeup was in YAMG, mostly in the earlier episodes. Probably a Clarin's endorsement deal or something. Heh. In TLB, in that episode where Changge supposedly haven't eatten or drank during the entire journey to the grassland to the point of fainting--well, we see in the next scene where Ah Sun went to check on her and voila! Her face was made up with bright lipstick. Does that even make logical sense? No. Not only did she not look lethargic and dehydrated, she looked bright and shiny. Of course, this makeup matter didn't prevent from enjoying the two dramas but it's a negative point, nevertheless. Can't please everyone, that's true, but the production team should at least try to be realistic as possible so that that small matter doesn't stick out like an eyesore.
Youku is owned by Alibaba, so that's who's really in control.
I don't dislike YM but I just don't gravitate toward her at all. Don't know why. So I haven't watched any of her dramas in which she leads. Wanted to watch Storm Eye because I like ZBB a lot but because YM is in it, I never bothered to.
This drama is not bad but it's not that great either. Quite boring in some parts but it's good there are no evil…
Reba had too much makeup in both YAMG and TLB. In TLB, her makeup was done wonderfully, even and smooth. The problem is, they dolled her up too much in scenes where she shouldn't have make up on. In YAMG, the makeup was, well, not good.
I have watched a number of Reba's dramas and I have to say that her best acting so far is in YAMG. There wasn't anything for me to critique on. Her acting in TLB was very good, the only thing I saw that she could improve on, and a minor thing at that, is her subtlety.
She looks old, yes, because the makeup done on her face was atrocious. Same for YY. But they still look beautiful.
Agreed. Just that in the show, the makeup wasn't done smoothly or properly so their skins looked rough, thus making them look "old." That's my thought when I saw in the ep1.
You know, I didn't know the story, never read the comic, so I went in with a blank slate but I could totally tell…
I enjoyed reading your take on the show and its characters. I share the same sentiments as you for the most part. My favorite character, however, is Ashile Sun. This is my first time watching Wu Lei and he impressed me very much with his excellent acting.
Regarding Li Changge, I can agree with your statements. As you stated, she "rarely" exudes warmth. And I dare say that Ah Sun would agree as well since (spoiler alert) he did ask her to be more girlish or feminine (end spoiler). Warmth, gentleness and tenderness are not her outstanding qualities. She does command respect and admiration for her strength, strategist talents and determination. But she can be shortsighted and single minded at times, which cause her to appear selfish and self-righteous, and worst yet, put others' safety and lives in danger. Fortunately she learns and grows from her experiences little by little.
I returned to rewatching yesterday as other then some tv shows, nothing has been released yet for me to sink my…
I went back and rewatched some episodes on YouTube since WeTV is now limited to VIP, unfortunately some scenes in some episodes have music over the talking part so it was kind of frustrating.
Hello, so I am asking to non fans of the actors, how is this drama? Because I can't trust fans rating and on this…
This drama is simple and easy to understand. It's romantic overall. It doesn't hurt to watch at least once. You may or may not like it but I like it. It's not in my top 5 or anything but it's enjoyable. It might lift your spirit after a rough day.
OMG. Ngl, seeing clips from the final banquet has put me if full 🤡 mode. Dude, YY has absolutely no filter…
Interesting analysis. I find it interesting that before this collaboration, the two didn't seem to like each other. Well, mostly Yang Yang. I remember Yang Yang mentioned in an interview that he thought Reba was a beautiful but aloof person. Perhaps it was this prejudice or preconceived idea about her that caused him to behave (seemingly) indifferently toward her in the past. For me, it was the cold vibe between them that made me so excited to watch the drama once I learned of their collaboration. I wanted to see how these two are going to tackle a romance drama when they (again, mostly YY) "seem" uncomfortable with each other.
