Yeah... I feel you, Ruyi Pavillion was slightly better in terms of plot but it really wasn't anything special. iQiyi has a knack for making shallow, empty characters lmao

Oh god, my thoughts exactly. The main hype around it was literally the idea of having a popular, handsome guy fall in love with you- I guess it's like a wattpad novel made into a high visual quality drama lol
