Generally, I agree, this is Go Ara`s best performance so far. However, the motivation of justice and defense of the victims cannot be compassion, tears, sympathy and pity. It is so unconvincing. Probably an actress could not think of any other way to show Miss Hammurabi`s uncompromising attitude and her strong demanding the truth in any case.
The review is accurate! The story of the drama is strange. Not only Seol Ok became non eccentric and non interesting any more, but also detective Ha Wan Seung! Now he is slow-witted, a little stupid, and cannot track down villains.
I agree with the review, but what`s the point of comparison with the Japanese version? It's true that the most interesting characters are in the background. Maybe the problem with the main female character is that: by definition she must be poor, stupid and naïve, so it`s really impossible to create real persona.
Moon Ga Young isn't better than Joy though ? Why do you think she's doing a better job ?
Soo-Ji is an extravagant egoist, sensitive and cruel, deeply unhappy and when you see Ga Young on the screen, you feel it. But Joy`s character is not complex and acting is simple. What do you think, what`s so good in Joy`s acting?
Acting of Moon Ga Young is good, Joy - is bad. Kim Min Jae - his acting is unique. Woo Do Hwan has his aura, but, I don`t know, is that enough to give a good performance?
