It's always like this for most of Chinese's dramas, rushed at ending
Hey there! It’s in the modern world. I saw a trailer in YT for it, titled as episode 36. But if you are curious to watch, it’s a PPV in MangoTV (tagged as “extra”)

Yeah, I think it would have been better to wrap it up in another episode (or two! bec we love them), but I think it’s an acceptable compromise in the end.
Finished watching episode 35… It was quite a ride. The ending does seem abrupt so I’m glad they threw in an extra episode. The extra episode was hilarious!! I wish there are more of it though.
Yes, i am still exciting about the next new episodes. I wonder if there would be any more new episodes air by…
Oh my! I wish they will still upload PPVs, else how will I survive? Kidding aside, I rarely stay hooked to a drama. Often I’ll skip episodes just to get to the end. I haven’t skipped or fast forwarded any episodes on this one though.
I saw ep 26 trailer, can anybody who who have watched it tell me what's about bi hong? Why does he seems evil?
In the succeeding episodes, he learns more secrets: he finds out Qui Ling is his biological sister, that the original Holy Aunt, their mother defected from the Devil Sect to build a family with their father, a Yuhua Master. And in episode 26, while tending to HC (afflicted with the love curse), he also finds out both that he and HC bears the same strange devil mark, and concludes that maybe his immortality and powers — that of which he sorely desires to make him worthy of his father’s eyes, have been stolen from him, probably by HC himself. He meant to kill him for revenge, for taking away everything that was supposedly his (Shi Xia included), but decides last minute not to. I have theories, but I’m waiting for the remaining episodes to confirm it.

@PyxelsUvU This to me is interesting as well. From my understanding of the drama’s lore (and I haven’t read the novel, so this is only from what I’ve watched), some demons pratice the forbidden art of pulling another’s magic/essence to enhance their own. This practice supposedly takes one’s immortality and depletes them of magic until the other person dies. With BH losing his eyesight, Qui Ling tricks BH into thinking he killed one of their masters, with QL giving the dead master’s sight to BH as “insurance”. Eventually he’s asked to do her bidding and his corruption starts.
All I can say is that I’ve watched until episode 28 and still hooked. Really liked the character delivery and I thought that the wigs and the costumes very really nice. So far so good! The only complaint I have is that I have to wait for the rest of the episodes. Right now, I am waiting to see Bi Hong’s transformation as a villain and all other secrets held by the Sect Leader.
