I find Nice’s acting really rough in this. Honestly, some scenes were so poorly delivered that I had to take a break just to process how off it felt. Maybe this just wasn’t a great showcase of his abilities but based on this performance alone, it's a pretty hard watch.
I feel like the drama had a strong start with phenomenal acting, but the story quickly lost momentum. Around episodes 5-6 things started to drag for me as Dongjin spent all his time collecting data. Sure, the information was important, but the way it was presented just wasn’t engaging. It felt like a wasted episode that slowed everything down to me.
The second leads' "story" felt completely unnecessary. It was rushed, didn’t make much sense and added little to the drama. We barely know anything relevant about Junghyeok, so making him another “witch” just felt nonsensical and way too forced as a plot twist.
I also feel like the ending was abrupt and a little unsatisfying. So what if he figured out the laws? What happens next? A happily ever after? It just felt like the story suddenly stopped rather than properly concluding.
Overall, I think this could be a really good drama. The first two episodes set up this high-stakes, tense world where negotiation is way more than just business. You can see the dynamics in the company and how Ju No’s relationships with his colleagues start to unfold, but it’s still pretty slow at this point. I’m also curious about what the beef is between Ju No, the CEO and his son. I’m definitely interested to see where it goes and how the characters develop as the story picks up.
The only two things I was confused about were the unfitting background music and the scene with the doctor and his daughter at the CEO’s house. It very unsettling scene that didn’t really make sense in the grand scheme of things (unless I missed something?)
I’m torn about the lead couple. On one hand, I love the idea of them rekindling their romance and plotting a ruthless revenge against her family and Jangseon together. On the other hand, I’d rather see the male lead move on after her betrayal and carry out his revenge alone, without looking back.
I usually avoid dramas with gaming elements but this one was surprisingly enjoyable and set the tone well for the episode. The execution of the “gaming world” was impressive like... pixelated enemies instead of the usual CGI mess? Amazing. The first episode was great and I can’t wait to see where it goes!
Ra in ho seems to be the one saving everyone by coming up with weird methods of killing the zombie... although…
I think what’s rubbing me the wrong way about Ra Inho is how he pretends to be clueless when he’s actually pretty smart. That kind of just feels off to me. But at the same time, he’s just a subordinate, so it’s not like he has to take the lead in that situation. I guess he’s the type of character who’s set up for the most development in the next few episodes. Well at least I hope so 🫣
The gore, action and zombie scenes in Episode 3 were seriously awesome. I love that the show didn’t shy away from those intense moments just because it’s a comedy, it really added to the tension and kept things exciting.
That being said, it’s a bit disappointing that characters like Yeongju, Jinwook and Alex didn’t get much to work with in this episode. They gave solid performances, but their storylines kind of took a backseat.
Also, is it just me or is Ra In-ho just such an annoying character? His presence just messes with the flow in my opinion.
can someone pls explain to me why jae beom kill the brother of ok chan mi and i didnt understand the final scene…
Spoiler!!
Jae Beom killed Wonseok due to his split personality, which Ohsung exploited by planting fake memories. Ohsung made him believe Wonseok pushed him, when in reality, Ohsung did it as revenge-because Jae Beom knew about his crush on his stepsister and that he forcibly kissed her. This confrontation led Ohsung to push Jae Beom off the building, putting him in a six-month coma and worsening his mental state. Jae Beom didn't remember the truth until later, triggering the flashbacks. Chan Mi didn't forgive him, she was trying to protect herself from his violent split personality. Realizing what he had done, Jae Beom was overwhelmed by guilt and disgust, leading to his suicide attempt. Ohsung wanted Jae Beom dead because he knew his secret, was richer, and had more influence, making Ohsung jealous.
So far it's such a fun watch! It’s way different from what I expected for a zombie/apocalypse K-drama, in the best way. My only complaint? They should’ve dropped all 8 episodes at once because dropping weekly episodes feels like its unnecessarily being dragged out.
genuinely thought this had potential because the leads are great actors but sadly the characters are incredibly irritating. They’re stuck in a constant cycle of nonsensical "breakups" and reconciliations that feel more repetitive than emotional. The plot leans way too heavily on endless twists that feel forced and exhausting. :/
