I wrote two essays about this episode last time. I really held back this time.🤣🤣🤣

YXW's anxiety that TTJ used the WOJ was so nervewracking.
and the face to face between LSS and devilSJ was really beautiful... laying out LSS's determination to save TTJ, almost forgetting her original purpose to destroy the Devil God, even if she was confronted with the scenes from Lan'an's betrayal.
He's worth saving.😭

That whole sequence of TTJ vs. Fuya..................is so mesmerizing I can't look away...

TTJ being surprised YXW caught on his plan to use the WOJ, and trying to counteract with facts, then being surprised in a touching way again when YXW tells him that she won't let him die, not quite understanding yet feeling grateful that someone watches over his life. This culminates into that scene where he finally eats (something!) the fruit that YXW gave him, and that gradual leaning into her shoulder with him occasionally looking at her as if he could really trust her.... all the while flashing back into their statements of what liking someone is (and all the while Black Moonlight plays) --and of course YXW leaning on him as well....

I repeat. THOSE DARN EYES! complemented perfectly by Bai Lu's acting

TTJ going from curious when he finds the WOJ (to the point of even playfully holding it out of YXW's reach), then intrigued when YXW couldn't properly explain what it is, then finally concerned when YXW adamantly insists he can't have it.

THOSE DARN EYES. (Gosh, I can't stop repeating myself.... but it's THOSE DARN EYES)

AHAHAHAHAHA Finally YXW gets a look under those clothes!!!
"Hao ah"
(EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE)

TTJ reluctantly telling YXW why he's spitting blood (do we count the first bloodspit from the previous episode? if so, that should have been the third and he should have died....... but maybe not.)

LYX's expressions really are a feast for the eyes and the heart. I could FEEL a lot from THOSE DARN EYES!!!

So XL effectively committed treason for letting TTJ go.

"I told you to run the other way."
"I'm afraid you'll sell me out."
"That's great. Neither of us gets to escape."

This was so funny if it wasn't a life and death situation.

Deng Wei's armor doesn't exactly look good, does it? comparing it to DG's armors? or even Ming Ye's? But he does look good in white.

More so in black.

ARRRGH. Him telling her to give him up so she can escape is touching...... but she beats him to it by pushing him and running in a different direction.

Aaaaand here comes my most favorite part: the conversation in the cabin.
- TTJ noticing she tied his bleeding wrist with a ribbon from her clothes (?) - surprised she cared
- YXW threatening him was cute.
- That light colored eye.... matches the light complexion.
- that little stickfight is adorable.
- TTJ's cold statement that he killed Lan'an weighed more than the apparent carelessness about whether she's alive or not, and the (literal) counterpunch of YXW after hearing that
- That tear in his eyes that stubbornly doesn't want to fall
- That stick he waves in front of his throat
- TTJ's unhinged laugh when YXW says she's going to lock him up - expressing the absurdity of her plan
- Him using the stick to point out how stupid her plan is, and his (DARN IT, THOSE EYES!!!) expression when YXW says his life and death is not his anymore - expressing beautifully the ray of hope he feels that YXW really does care, or at least someone will be caring for him, that someone cares over his life and death
- YXW really understanding TTJ when she throws the stick of fish away, knowing he'd pick it up and eat it because she knows he wouldn't just take any form of charity from her after hurting from Lan'an's betrayal.
- His petulant tone when he says "Grilling fish"
- His (DARN IT THOSE EYES!!!) nonchalant expression while stating the most horrible thing to ever happen to a child. And yes, LSS, please see clearly.
- His surprise (you could feel the surprise and slight confusion behind THOSE DARN EYES) that instead of him being charitable for letting YXW eat the fish he grilled, she actually is the one being charitable by giving him the food and lets him eat freely without fear of poison in his food.
- That fateful statement "One day, I'll tell you. You'd better pray that day comes later."😭
- That sudden shift from being weak to suddenly being alert

I LOVE THIS SCENE.

But that little hit she gives him when he glares at her was cute.

Shouldn't the Heimlich maneuver be a bit lower than where she hit him tho?😅

The outfit change LSS gets here baffled us before, but now I think she sold that jewelry she had on her head for everything she got after. (Probably even that drenched clothing she had).
Or probably she had some pockets on that dress where she somehow pocketed some coin.

Nian Baiyu... you're so cool.
But why did you lose your coolness later on? 🤣🤣🤣

TTML being the ultimate brilliant jerk for making stupid promises become literally true.🤣🤣🤣

Ok, so I'm here now!
Is it coincidence that LSS fell into the Mohe River?
Is it coincidence that LSS had the World Overturning Jade come to her?
