Yep. He was just pretending to not know LSS and Ami, but he couldn't help himself.

Since the finale, I've been rewatching the first episodes over and over... but whenever I approach the tower scene, I retreat and go back to ep2 again😅🤣 then watch all over again.. ahahaha I'm such a coward.😅 I pretend this drama didn't end yet and I'm still waiting for another episode to drop - such a contrast from weeks before when I was so impatient for it to finish.
And I refresh this page over and over again just to feel that I'm not alone in my misery😅

1. Hostage prince - emotionless psycho that he is, it was refreshing to see the subtle changes in him as he interacts with LSS
2. Mingye- like Sangjiu, i fell for his nobility, plus recovering Mingye was adorable
3. ADG - because he's soooooooo pretty🤣

Despite the differing perceptions, disappointment, and rage, however, i don't believe this drama deserves a rating of less than 8 at least. So much thought and hard work went into this drama, done by a lot of passionate people headlined by the excellence of the lead characters themselves, so I can't believe someone would dare rate this very low. "It's my opinion" can only go so far when rating someone's hard work, passion and dedication. If anything, let's put ourselves in the shoes of those who worked on this and think, Do we deserve a low rating?

I agree with this... I suppose our feelings about that ending depend on our perspective coming into this drama.. if we wanted entertainment, definitely this wasn't it, and that ending will definitely disappoint. If we wanted romance, this wasn't your typical one and that ending is again a disappointment... For me, I watched it as a morality play,to learn something about life and how to live it.. and watching TTJ go from being an emotionless psychopath to a self-denying compassionate being because of love and because of someone who showed him how to love, I've become more hopeful about my life and life in general. So that ending for me, as I put myself in TTJ's shoes, was satisfying because he lived by his own decisions and his own compassion, despite being destined to be something else, and with his death made life easier for all... whatever happened afterwards, even if the world saw him as a villain, the important thing for him is he saved his beloved and made the world where his beloved lives in a better place.

One thing (out of many things) that bothers me with all the cuts and could have beens...... what was LSS's phoenix mark on TTJ's chest for???

So now I'm going to use it for consoling myself that nevermind what LYX said about TTJ being really gone, that phoenix mark is going to bring him back to life.😇 great fodder for fanfiction =cracks fingers=

It did give scarlet heart vibes early on for me, but i was stillllll hoping for a HE. 🙃🙃🙃

Hello! New member here who just signed up just to say that TTEOTM is the best Chinese drama I've seen so far. I loved everything in it, yes even the sloppy cuts and that ending, just because that story was EVERYTHING... I wished it could have been longer, which is very weird for me to say coz I dislike dramas that have a looooot of episodes, especially if it was 50+mis each ep, but this drama kept me hooked from beginning to end. BL and LYX's chemistry was electrifying, and especially LYX's acting was top notch.. definitely way beyond delivered in every scene he was in.. he's the kind of actor who I'd definitely watch on repeat and never get tired of seeing...
