TTEOTM surprised me because you surprised me with all the side notes about the asuras and things that I take for granted in xianxia😅 I never knew Asian mythology was this rich (but I should have coz, hello, Ican memorize Greek mythology tidbits but not Asian?? Am I or am I not Asian?🤣🤣🤣 but prob coz I wasn't really exposed to Asian mythology much. It wasn't part of our literature classes.)
But I find Japanese dramas very deep every time I watch one. If Cats Disappeared From The World made me really cry.

Forgiveness does not always mean forgetfulness, that the hurt one has made against you means nothing. It's just that one chooses to let go of hate for the sake of peace. Just like how Heejoo clearly forgives her mother for her gastlighting, but also clearly draws a line between her mother and her life. Giving an avenue for her mother to reconnect with her allows her mother to truly prove that she deserved Heejoo's forgiveness by changing her ways.
Though your opinion might not be, as you say, "listen to me coz I'm correct", you also have to allow that yours wasn't a right piece of advice as well, and it is also dangerous to be saying these things, especially given the human tendency to absorb negative things quicker than positive ones.
