CJM now understands what LSS had done for him as YXW... context really is important, coz even if LSS told TTJ that he's the Devil God, he didn't understand it at that point because he doesn't know what the Devil God is. For him at that time, YXW calling him the Devil God is like her saying that she HATES him so much to call him Devil. In the process, he I think forgives her for the pain that she had caused him because she was only doing her job. (I think)

Yes, in the novel, Chongyu's power was supposed to be used for her to teleport back to her future (tho what future, the altered or her original one, I'm not sure) if she had successfully destroyed the evil bone and eradicated the DG from the timeline. When she failed, Chongyu's power was then used to make the immortal marrow that she exchanged with TTJ's evil bone. Chongyu really is supposed to be useful, but maybe the drama's going for the realistic way instead of having a bracelet/necklace talk with LSS.😅 The drama I think just went for "fantasy viewers will understand this s--t anyway"🤣🤣🤣to leave space for new plotlines such as Mo Nv in the immortal realm.🙄🤣

(just scrolled down coz am impatient about HYX dropping, and then saw this🤣) Hmm. thinking about it, maybe really it is a soul thing because basing on the novel, YXW is the evil remnant of LSS's soul, so when LSS entered YXW, that evil remnant disappeared (it appears OG YXW actually died when she fell at that time that LSS first wakes up to the mortal realm) to make space for LSS... then when LSS died as YXW, that soul went back to the original LSS's body who's either still an egg at that time or already a kid in the Hengyang Sect being cared for by Sect Leader Qu. The "flames burst out of me" thing that LSS says in Ep.33 must be that time when LSS's soul merges with her soul in the original body/egg. Nirvana fire as I understand it is something that the souls undergo to be able to reincarnate... they have to survive it otherwise they don't reincarnate. =whew=

In my head: LSS goes down to mortal realm from HS; CJM follows = LSS and TTJ meet at the 1st inn, Tom and Jerry banter ensues = visit to palace to get HGS from YQY, who originally tells them about Ye Mei = meet with GYJW at inn, to plan how to defeat Ye Mei Of course, this is with the original plot of the red string connecting TTJ and LSS which is kind of vague to me, but I read something about that in the leaks of the script that kwanto posted at one of the discussion threads.
