Yes, it was indeed very long. I was also discouraged at first but when I watched the pilot ep, I was hooked (and I really wanted to watch a historical wherein it was not about the emperor or the royal family; as well as not fantasy). The actors, the story (the dynamics within a family; society), the cinematography, the lessons,—i loved them all. It was well-made. Hopefully you’ll give it a try someday.
