Same! It wasn't until the music started playing that I realized that the problem was with how they recorded it or something. It sounds like they recorded the audio through a cheap, decade+ old laptop or something. Like, how can it sound so bad?
Sounds very similar to the Chinese web novel "Don't You Like Me," so I'm curious to see whether the similarity is just in the initial premise or whether that will extend into the overall story.
Is there any nude scene in this drama..?BTW sex happened between Main Leads right..?😶
No full out nudity, just down to underwear, and all the sex is between the main leads. And don't expect sexy sex scenes. They're more so depicted in a bizarre, abstract, comedic way.
I get why a lot of people don't like the sex scenes as they really are just absurd nonsense, but I love them. So many shows make sex scenes so explicit, so I find it far more entertaining to have something going in such an odd and generally unpredictable direction instead. This show is a comedy, after all.
Exactly, we practically got the whole plot of the next episode.
They end on such a big dramatic moment and you're wondering if Cake has actually realized his feelings yet or doesn't understand his jealousy. You aren't certain how long this conflict will go on, but then you catch the first millisecond of the preview and that's all ruined.
I'm so mad that at the end of the latest episode they had such a huge spoiler as the first thing in the preview for the next episode!! I always try not to look at those because they can spoil things, but sometimes I end up catching the first little bit on accident, but I've never had that result in a spoiler that big!
I really loved the novel, but I wonder how well it will translate to having to be a bromance instead of a romance. If they don't do it well, it could really lose a lot of the impact.
I've seen multiple people call Woo Young Woo "innocent," so I just want to do a little PSA: Do not call autistic people "innocent" (unless you are using it as the opposite of guilty).
Autistic people often face infantilization because people view some of our behaviors and our social deficits as childlike. Describing us using words that are generally associated with children, such as innocent, pure, or naive, can perpetuate those stereotypes. Even if you believe you'd still use that word if the person/character wasn't autistic, it is still likely best to avoid it because even with good intentions, you can have a negative impact.
It's also worth noting that there could be subconscious biases at play. So if you do find yourself thinking of Woo Young Woo or another autistic character/person as innocent, ask yourself why. Are the things leading you to say that actually just autistic traits? Did you view them with an assumption of innocence because of their autism? Check in with yourself to see whether the word is actually an accurate description, or if you are unintentionally infantilizing them.
Episode 3 made me 100% root for Sana and Ko ending up together ! Nagano Mei and Sugino Yosuke look really great…
Based on the plot description and order the cast is listed, I figured she's end up with Kotori, but then episode 3 happened. I mean, I was already rooting for Sana to end up with Ko, but now, if she doesn't, when she clearly had feelings for him that she pushed down, and they dedicated a whole episode to their backstory......... Sana needs to end up with Ko. They would have to work EXTREMELY hard for me to change my mind on that.
I liked the first movie in all its cliches and cheesiness. I enjoy a good garbage movie from time to time, but this one just sucked. I had no reason to care about Suzuki or Morita, but they expected me to cry over them? Aren't Takumi and Gii supposed to be the main characters? And Gii went from a hopeless romantic to a terrible boyfriend who didn't seem to consider Takumi's feelings at all and totally uses him. If the other movies are like this one, count me out.
I've seen a weird amount of people complain about the toxicity in this show given that it's literally about a mafia family. Did they think a group of people who will kill someone without even blinking were gonna be the models of healthy relationships?
Currently debating whether I want a VegasPete or a KimPorchay spin-off more

Why did they keep the bit about Taeseong's dad buying the apartment if they were going to entirely cut out his character? Like, that's literally the only mention of him, so we just get a little scene of Taeseong's mom being upset about it that adds absolutely nothing to the show.
It's always funny seeing criticisms on movies like this one because people's complaints are things I expected going into it. Poor writing? Cheesy? Awkward? That is exactly why I wanted to watch this. I love a dumb, light romance. It's odd to me to see that anyone expected anything different.
I find this drama interesting because of how it plays with morality. The male lead is her stalker, and technically does kidnap her, even though she chooses to go with him, she is a minor. But also, he never does anything to hurt her, but rather brings her safety and some semblance of happiness. And they talk about getting married, but it never seems to be quite sincere when they say it, nor does it really seem to be intended as romantic. Really, though they love each other, it seems to not be romantic. Their relationship doesn't feel romantic at all, but rather that they are the only thing bringing each other happiness, so "getting married" is their way of trying to hold onto that happiness forever. It feels like everything between them is in this weird moral grey area where you don't exactly know how to feel about it.
THE THIRD EPISODE!!! It blew me out of the water! It wonderfully showed so much of the struggles and pain that can come from being aroace in an allonormative world, specifically with the trauma Sakuko experienced because of it and forcing herself to fit into that world. It was so impactful and had me tearing up! And how when Sakuko's ex is shown to be following them, Satoru calls him out for how creepy that is and "love" doesn't make it okay.
Have any of you successfully downloaded Ep. 3? My torrent client (bitport.io) will NOT download the zipped file…
I was able to just fine, but you could try downloading it from a streaming site instead of the torrent file. I had to do that for episode 2 and the subtitles still synced up perfectly fine.
