OH YEAH absolutely, notice how there wasn't any kind of funeral service shown for him at all? Not even a mention of it, despite Vincenzo calling him his younger brother. He's definitely alive and chilling as a part V's caporegime men.
WOW did I really just watch a show about two emotionally broken men falling HARD for each other while solving murder mysteries and sorting their own lives in the process? Because that's exactly what this show was. Beyond Evil shouldn't even be called a murder mystery, because this show isn't even about the murder itself, rather about the characters' life and their development. If you have the mind and heart to get emotionally connected to these brilliant and layered and strong and vulnerable characters, specially the two PHENOMENAL main leads who solve an extremely complicated series of mysteries but their feelings are the most complicated of all, then you will LOVE this show. This shows you happiness, regret, loss, guilt, atonement, sacrifice, love, care, family, selflessness, and strength of will. It was an absolute DELIGHT and I loved it.
WOW I truly loved and enjoyed literally every episode of this show.
Maybe a few boring moments in some episodes, when I truly thought they wouldn't make use of the fact that our lead is supposed to be a ruthless mafia man, BUT THEY DELIVERED ON THAT TOO OH MY GOSH WHAT AN ENDING. I cannot get over the chemistry of the Cencha couple, and I can't believe how GOOD all the villains also were, on top of the amazing music and visuals. I keep comparing all new shows I've seen to this one, and I can't get enough. The Geumga plaza was amazing only because of Mr. Ahn imo, and Mr. Cho was also hot as hell. I loved the randomness of the Geumga plaza once they came to their senses lol AND HONG CHA YOUNG aaa. What a woman, one of the strongest characters ever. She was always so brave and so fearless, like a lioness! No wonder Vincenzo fell for her. All of his gentlemanly behaviour and smiles and glances and whispers for her were SO SEXY I CAN'T. He was truly whipped for his Mafia wife <3.
Also was refreshing to see the unrealistic and senseless 'childhood connection to lovers' trope wasn't forced. The FL chose the guy right for her, and that's what makes this an empowering choice. HJP had a chance for about 3 years and all he could do was show up with jewellery randomly towards the end, despite not knowing anything about her feelings, like? That screams arrogance to me. The female lead, despite knowing and being friends with HJP for 3 years without the presence of the ML, hesitated to cal HJP for help when she needed it. That shows a lot imo.
