Well said. Almost all solid actors I know are stage play-related. And that's the difference between actors with theater background and those with model/ idol background. With the rating-driven and profit-driven era nowadays, a bunch of young actors got casted main roles without being able to act out more than 3 or 4 emotions and were outshined by their lesser-known costars. He's an antagonist there but something about his portrayal of the character will make you can't completely hate him but sympathize with him to some extent in mid story and you'll end up respecting and liking him eventually. The show is a masterpiece as a whole in terms of acting. No nonsense. No cliche. No cringe moment. The cherry on top: ML is Namkoong Min (if you love Kdrama, I guess you know him) :D

Korean netizen is toxic but they are very discerning nowadays, they know if an actor's acting is bad. It's not Boy over flowers era anymore. We are spoilt by a slew of acting masterclasses at present. Tbh, LMH doesn't have range. And he always picks the same roles as rich, bad boy, cool guy vibe. That couples with bad script certainly doesn't help.
