Okay I stopped this drama when the eastern arc was happening because I felt like it was slowing down as lot. The first arc was some of the best that I've ever watched in a cdrama storywise. Should I continue? I don't want it to go downhill after this arc and tarnish my opinion on the first half.

Was so looking for ward to watch this but horrible subs and the CGI looks bad as well 😭

This is turning out to be such a good drama. The character development and the villain arc slowly unfolding!!!! And the slow burn. Such a good drama!!

The actress who played young sang zhi looks so prettyyy. She may not be the most beautiful but she's so charming for her age. I was instantly bewitched. And I love that she managaed to be on her own and do her own stuff for two years without clinging to him even though we know she was heartbroken. But I feel like she needed to be her own person before they got together. Or else he would never see her as other than a little kid.

I totally agree. The things she said were mean but what he did in retaliation was so much worse. He robbed her of her own will and made her kill a person whom has always been kind to her. It's like she said "how can she gamble the whole of the universe on the fact that he might not turn into the devil god one day?" He's only nice to HER but merciless to everyone else.

Ok I rewatched eps 25-26 and bawled like a baby again. Everyone's acting is so goood. The emotions are practically palpable. It's so painful but IT HURTS SO GOOD.

After reading all of the comments, I'm gonna withold watching today's eps until next week. I really hate it when the main leads act TSTL.

This meng yu arc is definitely important for the character development of both MLs. It's the period where they developed feelings for each other. When they come out of the dream, the memories and feelings will be remembered by them. So ML finally will know how it feels to love, to be sad and to be angry.

That was the original ye qixu. Remember the current FL is susu who went back in time 500 years back to save the world? She currently inhabits ye wi xu's body with the same face. You need to rewatch ep 1 and 2.

That IS sad!!! I'm sure there are a looot of wonderful scenes that were cut.
