I would like to say that I literally dropped on episode one, cause it was literally so boring, but then my sister watched the whole thing, and I was there to watch like very little clips, everytime I pass the living room and see shes watching it. So it gets interesting. I decided to rewatch it, I have to say the first like 5-10 episodes are really slow, it gets more interesting when you actually get into the show. But yea, if my sister did not watch this show, I probably would have never gone back to rewatch it.

No, it does not get any better. I honestly would have dropped it too, but because of Cheng Yu and Lian Song's love is what made me continued watching it. The rest of the show gets very boring, Feng Jiu gets trapped in a dream and the dream is very boring because I was watching about people I didn't care about. I thought season 1 was a lot better. This story could also have been a lot better. Another reason I watched this was because of the untamed. Song Lan from the untamed played in it so that made me a bit happier.

So the golden core thing is kind of hard to explain, So basically after the Lotus Cove got assassinated and Madam Yu(Jiang Cheng's mom) died, after that, Wei Wuxian's sister got sick and he went to go get medicine, but because the Wen Clan was also in Yumeng Jiang, looking for Jiang Cheng and Wei Ying, Jiang Cheng sacrificed himself, which cause him to lose his golden core. Wei Ying knew that Jiang Cheng would be depressed if he can't cultivate, which then Wei Ying took his core out and gave it to him. But that was never said in the beginning, until Wen Ning explained it. At that time Wei Ying lured Jiang Cheng saying his Grandmaster (his mom's master) could save him, but that was only a lie just so Wei Ying could take his golden core out and give it to him. Wen Qing was there to do the swapping, while Wen Ning was there to see it. So on like ep 47, Wen Ning explains to him saying why do you think Wei Ying never uses Suibian (his sword name) and only uses Chenqing (flute name) because without his golden core he can't practice fighting with swords. Which got Lan Zhan mad, because no one can pull Suibian out unless your Wei Ying, but since Jiang Cheng has his golden core, he can open it. You don't have to read the novel to understand, I once found the untamed really complicated and I was like I'm never gonna watch it, I ended up watching it and got obsessed with it. There was a lot of romance but it wasn't shown in the show, rewatch it a couple of times and then you'll be able to see what I mean. The part when Lan Wangji gave Wei Wuxian chickens and when they were paying respect to his stepparents and his senior sister, that was basically them getting married. You have to be a true fan to see these. Their love was actually expressed through the show many times.

WOW, it couldn't have been explained any better, great job. Even though we never get to hear Lan Zhan say "I love/like you" to Wei Ying but him saying "The feeling of sticking to the single-log bridge till it’s dark is indeed not bad." that is Lan Zhan's way of confessing his love to Wei Ying.

It was said that, the author of the book Mo Dao Zu Shi is writing another BL story, and the TV producers are gonna make WYB and XZ the main roles depending how busy they, are if not main roles then support or guest roles.

I know right like the second season is so messed up, like some of these people don't have common sense, like why would people think that Du Xianyin is the empress, like um can these people not tell that her last name IS DU, NOT FENG, so like even though she has golden wings doesn't mean that she is empress cause her last name is Du, and I agree, she is a bad actress like I'm sorry but season 1, HAVE YOU NOT SEEN HOW GORGEOUS FENG TIANYI AND YI FULING LOOK, AND YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT THATS HOW UGLY THEIR CHILD LOOKS LIKE!

Yes I agree with you, at first I did find the untamed very nasty and weird but once you get to like ep 10 it explains the story, if I wasn't forced to watch this show by my sister I would regret that. Watching this show is the first thing I will never regret doing.
