Thank you! So I think we'd hear something likely within a couple months at most, hopefully. Would love if we got more episodes later this year, would be a really pleasant surprise and I would always love to get more Bad Buddy be it a season 2 or special episodes!

Trying not to get myself to excited over the possibility of more PatPran! Do you know how soon they typically announce sequels? I wonder if we'd hear anything soon or if it'd take a while before we hear anything. Like it took a year to hear about the Cherry Magic sequel movie but that's Japan and I think things there run quite different from the Thai entertainment industry.

I think a proposal happening could definitely lead to a Season 2 or to at least a special episode (or a couple) leading up to a PatPran wedding. That way they could build more on the family dynamics healing, InkPa, and develop WaiKorn more than they were able to during Bad Buddy's initial run.

I admit I am skeptical of season 2s in almost all cases but I trust that the Bad Buddy team would not fall into any of the typical traps most second seasons have. But more likely I think we may get somewhere between 1-5 special episodes. Given Bad Buddy's popularity I could see GMMTV go for a 2nd season or special episodes depending. It seems like everyone on the cast and crew would love to, I know Ohm and Milk in particular have talked a lot about how much they miss the Bad Buddy set.

Definitely! The cast and crew cannot reveal the ending, there'd be no point in doing so. They want to keep us on our toes, questioning and guessing, until the very end.

Fair point regarding Taiwanese BLs! They definitely have many with happy endings, it just seems to be less of a guarantee I'd say than Thai BLs.

Also I posted about this the other day but I think given all of the marriage/honeymoon talking points that there will likely be a proposal in the end of the show. So when one of the writers said that fans will be screaming in the end and demanding a season 2 -- I think that's why.

I don't want to give people false hope but I personally 100% believe we will get a happy ending. P'Aof doesn't tell stories that have sad endings. I believe every single one of his shows has ended on a happy note where the couple is together.

Of course the writers and actors want us to watch up until the very end which is why they tease us and say things to make us question if they will truly give us a happy ending. They can't just say they'll give us a happy ending or else people wouldn't anticipate the show as much.

Keep in mind despite the "3 alternative endings" Ohm and Nanon mentioned filming, it's clear they know which one is going to be used. Nanon told everyone to watch up to the final scene and that that it's very "P'Aof" and we know P'Aof does happy endings.

Also ultimately the story of Pat and Pran isn't meant to be a tragedy. If it was that kind of story it would've ended in episode 11 with them separating. They wouldn't need to do an episode 12 in that case, but they need to show the reconciliation. This is supposed to be a light rom-com type story. And honestly most Thai BLs end happily. It's the Taiwanese ones I'm often more skeptical on.

I love it! Honestly thank you for indulging me with this. It's made me so happy to talk about Pat and Pran proposing and getting married.

Because I can just SEE this happening.

Pat: Pran, will you marry me?
Pran (shocked): N-No--
Pat (looking halfway to crying): ...No?
Pran: No, not no, I mean, yes! I just meant that's not the way it was supposed to go.
Pat: Wait, what?
Pran: Shia Pat! You had to beat me to the proposal, didn't you? *pulls the ring out of his pocket to show Pat*

I could TOTALLY see that! They would argue who proposed first. Pat would point out he was the one that asked technically asked first and then Pran would counter by saying that he at least had the ring prepared (I feel like Pran would've planned while Pat would've just jumped on it spur of the moment and decided to propose five seconds before he did)

Upon further consideration I think it's more likely Pat would propose. I'm only saying this based off episode 10 when Pran asked where his ring was and a later scene in episode 10 where Pat says he would get Pran a ring. These scenes hint to Pat proposing. I don't think P'Aof throws lines in there like that for no reason.

But again, it could go the other way! I have no clue.

I know EVERY drama does this, regardless of country. It always is weird trying to reorient myself to a different version of the characters I know.

Hoping the execution is done well in Bad Buddy.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it'll happen too! I wouldn't be as sure if there weren't so many points where they talked about marriage and a honeymoon. I don't think they would've brought it up so much if they wouldn't go through with a proposal.

Plus Nanon encouraging us to watch the very last scene (saying it's "very P'Aof" and what P'Aof wants) and one of the writers saying "it'll make fans scream" definitely makes me think it's likely to be a proposal scene. As to who would propose I can see it going both ways, and who knows, maybe they'll both even end up proposing to each other!

So I'm marking this part as a spoiler just in case but I saw petalkiss on Twitter at one point translate something from the author of the Bad Buddy book, and apparently the author said she talked with P'Aof about same-sex marriage and it maybe being incorporated into the show. She said she wasn't sure if it would, but that she did talk to him about it maybe being discussed in the show.

So honestly this makes me feel more hopeful of the idea of a proposal, along with all of our marriage allusions in ep 10/11.

Also I think a proposal will save me from all my pain (I hope)

How do you all hope the show ends? I'm not going to place this under spoilers because it's all theories/hopes for me.

I honestly really hope in the ending that we get some kind of proposal given all the marriage/honeymoon references in episode 10 and 11. I feel we well and truly deserve something like a proposal scene after all our suffering (and Pat and Pran deserve it too).

I honestly feel like upon getting back together Pat and Pran won't want to waste anymore time, and I think that's why the proposal will happen. I don't know if it'd be Pat or Pran proposing, I honestly don't care. I just want them to get engaged/married and be happy with each other and never be separated again.

Thank you for your sweet words! Reading other people's thoughts has actually helped me process and feel better too. I still feel kinda numb about it all and like I said, in no way can rewatch or even look at gifs or pictures of Pat and Pran (especially any from episode 10/11) but I'm hoping with time I will feel better.

Time jumps are one of my least favorite thing that happen in dramas but I do hope that we are pleasantly surprised and have it all wrapped up nicely with a happy ending that will make up for all the pain we suffered (and that Pat and Pran suffered).

Yeah I find it funny many are assuming Pran topped because of the line "was I good" and him asking Pat to rate him. People are forgetting Pran is a natural overachiever like of course he'd ask this it's very in character, and also likely part of the joke with him asking about how Pat would rate him was about Nanon's song "Love Score."

And it's equally annoying to see people trying to act like Pat "has to be the top" because of him being seen as traditionally more masculine than Pran and because of the novel he was and how his character "acts like a top" like PLEASE, what does that even mean?

Wait are there actual polls about who topped and bottomed I haven't seen that but 😭😭 Like, why is this even worth a topic of discussion? Why must every BL ever be plagued with this "debate" at some point?

You're so right. They really focused on dismantling the husband/wife role so common in BL and people loved it but now everyone is just WHO TOPPED??? No it can't be Pat/Pran because it doesn't make sense because [insert arbitrary reason]. And their reasoning is so funny to me like, didn't know cuddling position determines your sexual position and didn't know your physical appearance dictates it either 😂

And yeah I really wonder how after seeing part 4, this is the topic people want to really discuss. Like of EVERYTHING to discuss, this is what it is? I'm well and truly tired.

I am finally starting to feel a little better. But I still can't rewatch the episode much less look at any gifset of Pat and Pran without wanting to cry. I haven't had a show affect me this deeply in so long. The night after episode 11 aired I hardly slept. The day after I felt incredibly depressed and down, like I was the one going through a break up.

I'm trying to distract myself with other things, but Bad Buddy continues to linger in the back of my mind.

I am sure the story will end well, but the journey to get there is gonna leave me a mess. I really don't like that they took the break up/separation choice. But it's the choice the show made so I guess I'll have to live with it.

I honestly don't think I'd be as upset with the breakup if we didn't know from the preview that there's going to be a time jump YEARS in the future. I don't like the idea of them missing more years together. The fact they've lost so much time together just depresses me.

And then when episode 11 aired people started saying it was implied Pran topped -- but he was the big spoon! But he asked Pat "was I good" so that has to mean he topped!

Personally I felt it was left ambiguous in episode 11.

I think my biggest problem is that people treat the idea of top and bottom like they are personality characteristics of the characters.

I honestly had hoped we'd moved past this discussion of top/bottom but it is all over Twitter and TikTok right now.

Also while Cherry Magic gets a 10/10 for me, I still don't like or really understand Tsuge and Minato's relationship. I like Tsuge but I feel like I barely know or understand Minato as a character. I like that they're both in the arts and understand each other as artists. But besides that I don't see any chemistry between them. It's very striking when in comparison you have the palpable chemistry of Kurosawa and Adachi.

If you enjoy the couple, that's great! I find every rewatch though I fast forward through their scenes. They just don't interest me.
