I want to watch this show but for some reason Netflix has it marked as containing sexual violence. Can someone elaborate on what happens in the story to warrant this warning?

Would love that! I hope so! I looked back at Theory of Love's special episode and it took them over a year to get the special episode for that out, so yeah if we get a special episode (especially given their schedule as you said) it'd probably take a while. But there is definitely material there for a special episode.

Also hoping to get a new OhmNanon series announced for 2023!

It doesn't seem like it happens a lot with GMMTV but it happened with 2gether and Theory of Love which were both GMMTV productions, so it's possible.

I can see this interpretation very much too! I know a lot of people when they saw the breakfast in bed scene originally wondered if it was after their first time. Would make sense in part of how they're trying to figure each other out and how to act with each other.

And yes that's the great thing about this show! I can definitely see why you think it happened in episode 8, but also I see the episode 11 interpretations being just as likely. Thanks for sharing your take!

I really like your interpretation on things! I do see this as likely being the case too. Pat really would let Pran choose whatever position he felt most comfortable in but I am grateful that they don't tell us anything (a lot of BL like to really hammer in who was the "top" and "bottom"), because in that moment it's not about what "role" they chose in bed that one particular time. It's about the love between them shared in that moment.

I see, I understand what you mean! I'm glad we all can enjoy this wonderful show together and that it's so layered and nuanced, but most of all YES I love how healthy Pat and Pran's relationship is. They have clear communication, they always make sure the other person is comfortable, and they just clearly love each other so much. It's beautiful to see!

Yes whether they had sex in episode 8 or 11, whatever sexual positions they have, it doesn't matter. All that matters is truly their love for each other! I love that people can interpret this show in so many different ways but all still get the same takeaway message, which is Pat and Pran's love is far stronger than all the hate they face.

I was just confused if there was some confirmation I'd missed since I kept seeing comments popping up that said P'Aof had confirmed they had sex in episode 8 and I didn't know whether I'd missed that. Of course it's not important if it was ep 8 or ep 11, I just wanted to gain clarification if I'd missed something.

Yes, it's up for audience interpretation. That's part of the beauty of PatPran. Their relationship is very fluid. They don't fall into the stereotypes of most other Thai BL pairings. People can view them however they want, but ultimately it doesn't matter because the most important thing is their underlying love for each other.

Though I am unsure about your line though "I am doubting if one of them even wanted it" because Pat and Pran were obviously both very willing in Episode 11 to have sex. But maybe I am misreading what you meant.

Yeah I saw that on Twitter that they didn't translate the part where Pat said "I always pound hard." It's pretty funny!

Another innuendo so could definitely be seen as referencing past sexual activities. Maybe not and it's just Pat teasing Pran. I guess it's up to our interpretation if they had sex before episode 11 at this point, unless P'Aof confirms otherwise. But we certainly do get a lot of other innuendos in episode 8 and 9 ("practicing hard" and Pat wanting his reward and Pran complaining that he's had enough could all be taken as clues). So whatever you think at this point, I'd say.

See the scene with Korn I also took away they hadn't had sex either. But some interpreted it to mean they weren't having sex or doing anything before he came in the room because he seemed to be implying they were getting it on before he came into the room so maybe there was a mistranslation in the "not yet" line. It wouldn't be the first time there was a mistranslation. I've seen lots of examples of mistranslated lines on Twitter.

As for episode 11 and the whole top/bottom question, I really do believe it was meant to be ambiguous. Most people seem to take from it that Pran was on top because he asked "How was I?" But if it is their first time this line would be something that Pran could ask regardless. He's a natural overachiever, he would want to know how he did either way for his first time. Also I don't think they had to necessarily have had penetrative sex, even though that's everyone's assumption.

Guess the episode 11 scene is just left up to individual interpretation because I doubt P'Aof will ever confirm anything. But we do know they are vers, P'Aof has said that from the beginning.

I just wanted to know because I was curious as it would be a major stepping stone in their relationship if that was their first time and with the weight and importance they put on that moment in Episode 11, it led me to believe it was their first time. But I do get there were lots of innuendos that they had been sexually active with each other in episode 8 and 9, so who's to say for sure.

Just the fact that they'd been sleeping together in the same bed for months makes me think yeah it's likely they have, and just didn't show us. But after they told Korn "not yet" when he asked if they'd had sex yet in Episode 9 it gave me pause. Though I know a lot interpreted it as them meaning that they weren't going to do it at that moment in particular. Maybe it was a mistranslation.

I mean originally when episode 8 aired I thought they might be having sex but then when Korn asked in Episode 9 about them having sex they said "not yet" and then with the part in episode 11 with the seaweed snack Pat said: "It tastes good just like my boyfriend" and Pran says "Have you even tried?" And Pat says: "No." A lot of people are taking that as to meaning they hadn't had sex yet (though who knows maybe it had some other meaning).

As for Episode 11 and the "Was I good?" question, I don't think that line was meant to imply anything about their sexual positions. If it was truly their first time Pran might ask that regardless of what they did. Also I saw the line "It's my turn now" to mean "It's my turn to kiss you first" opposing their scene in ep 5 when Pat kissed Pran first (Pat asks to kiss Pran, Pran says no I'm the one that's going to kiss you -- keep in mind this is after them going back and forth between asking each other questions so that's why Pran said "It's my turn"). From what I saw posted on Twitter, P'Aof retweeted something (I think from the show cinematographer?) about wanting the scene to be "sexually fluid" which I think means they wanted it to be ambiguous as to what Pat and Pran did.

Basically I have seen reactions split between: They have been having sex from episode 8 with them switching for the first time in episode 11, or that they haven't had sex until Episode 11 and it's their first time and Pran asking "Was I good?" was just him asking because it was their first time (this was my initial take but now I'm unsure). I mean it doesn't matter really but knowing if it was their first time would be very significant to their relationship, which is why I wondered if it was their first time or not.

I thought the first time Pat and Pran had sex was in episode 11 but I keep seeing people say that it's been confirmed by P'Aof and the other writers that they've been having sex since episode 8. Was this ever confirmed by the writers or P'Aof or just assumed because of lines Pat said like, "We've been practicing really hard" to Pha when talking about sleeping in Pran's room? Because to me that's not a confirmation, it's just implying something but I can see how it'd lead people to think they've been having sex from that episode onward.

If there was a confirmation of Pat and Pran sleeping together since episode 8, please link it because I haven't seen a single tweet from the writers or P'Aof confirming this.

Yes if Pat and Pran get engaged or married it would be entirely divorced from the current realities of Thailand but I think P'Aof would like to show an idealized idea of what Thailand could be if they did legalize same-sex marriage.

I just posted this above but under a spoiler tag because it includes references to other Thai shows that others may not have seen. But there have been other Thai BL where the couples have gotten engaged or even married.

Bad Buddy doesn't have to live in the same universe as us with the same laws. It can be an idealized version of our reality where same sex marriage exists in Thailand.

I will say I'm surprised that some people act like just because in the novel Pat and Pran don't get engaged or married they act like it won't happen in the show. The show has already diverged from the book in many ways and in the book Pat says he would marry Pran if they were legally able to do so.

I know Manner of Death ends with a proposal and I know in Tharntype Season 2 they end up getting married, so clearly the legality of whether or not they can get married in the real world doesn't apply to their fictional universes.

Oh definitely wouldn't be revealed until after the finale airs. I would love if after we finished the episode that a little card pops up and says "Coming later 2022: Bad Buddy Season 2/Special Episodes" we would definitely all be screaming then.

Or maybe they would hold out and tell us a couple weeks later. I just remember that Gameboys announced a season 2 to everyone's surprise at the end of their finale episode. Would love something like that!
