I finished watching most of the performance videos... I have to say, this season lacked some creativity/surprise compared to previous seasons.
Some examples from previous seasons that I think were pretty surprising: Season 2 (浮夸 Fu Kua): Jordan Chan and Julian Cheung shaved their hair live Season 3 (Joker): Zhang Yuan's vocals (if you know what I'm talking about) Season 3 (吸引定律 Xi Yin Ding Lv): flamethrowers, using electric drills to play the guitar Season 4 (笼 Long): Nine dropping into the water
This is just my opinion, overall I think a lot of the performances this year were pretty good but they just weren't as captivating in my opinion. Feel free to drop opinions below 🙃

I only really wanted to watch this season to see 0713 and INTO1 (especially Nine and Wang Zhengliang because s4), but there were barely any interactions (that were shown) between the different teams, so basically they took the one thing that kept me from quitting this season.
I'm not a fan of TOP, and watching them being babied while everyone else was doing their very best only to be met with disappointing scores is just heartbreaking, I hope they can take a break sometime soon, TF Entertainment seems to be sending them (as well as their seniors, TNT) everywhere they can.

OMG that's so stupid 😤 especially that one meeting in S3 where they told GEM that he can't pick his own song when his team was deciding for X-Song (and knowing that it's been a rule in general), what happened to that rule???

I feel like the whole thing is scripted just so that TOP can stay and attract their fans to gain popularity for the show. Otherwise, without the rule about combining the scores from 二公 and 三公 they would've left 🙄 such a stupid rule (honestly I still have no idea how it works.. or if that was even a rule, I gave up on watching ep 6)
The news of INTO1 getting eliminated (and the fact that the show released multiple clips about it, including Nine's emotional moments (I feel so bad for him 😭)) and the show's bias for TOP is making me quit watching the show altogether, even if some of my favourite contestants are present. Compared to the previous seasons, this one was quite a flop imo.
宝莲's score was extremely disappointing, they didn't deserve a low score
Not a hater but why invite TOP? The oldest member of that group is just 19.. The age gap between the oldest and youngest participants is apparently around 40 years..
binged it in 4 days. overall i agree with most comments here, there was a strong start but started to drag out…
The chip was inserted through a VR headset that all of them had put on at some point (Chun Yu could be seen putting one on in a flashback sometime in the later episode, not sure which one, and I'm pretty sure Gao Xuan had his headset in his room)
